MK then SF, the rest I don't really care that much for.

But MK for me.Also, for storyline MK owns the others easily, for darkness MK wins also, gameplay the older MK's played better but overall MK and SF for me.True classics that the rest can't live up to if you ask me.

BTW, dude you should also add Super Smash Brothers man.That's a fighter.

My favorite is Tekken

However, King of Fighters and Tekken are great also.

I cant make up my mind streetfighter or mortal kombat, for characters and story id say mk but for shere gameplay id go with streetfighter. i want a mk vs streetfighter game only then will i be truly content.just immagine guile vs jax, cage vs ken, Ryu vs liu kang, Baraka vs Vega(us version), gen vs Shujinko. Akuma vs Noob Saibot (that would be a fight) thank god for kreate a character. noteworthy mentions though tekken, soul calibur 2 killer instinct and eternal champions. hehehe.

Street Fighter would be my favorite followed by Mortal Kombat and then Tekken. I could careless about King of Fighters and Darkstalkers.

Killer Instinct has very inventive characters and moves.

Mk has a very good Story line as well.
