bills very impressive but man how about those giants down 17 in the 4th come back to win in over time. Eli just steped into elite qb status not many if any qbs maybe brady can say they showed that poise after getting sacked 8 times being pressured all day and being down by that much and done what manning has done. BTW i was on the money with this weeks question.

Dude, making a lucky throw off your back foot to a receiver with at least an 8 inch edge over the defender does not make you an elite quarterback. It makes you a lucky bastard.

Anyway, here are the current standings:

1- killerkill87, Ermac36 and Cogline (11)
4- SubMan799, Ghostdragon, and danadbab (10)
7- Subzero2 (9)
8- m0s3pH (8)
9- thetruth4 (7)
10- Check (5)

Current QOTW Answer: Baltimore with 6.

ehh why did walter throw an late int it cost me a point. Any ways he didn't have alot of time to throw because the giants oline played very badly ,Philly dominated line of scrimage on both sides most of the game. Philly rushed with their front 4 most of their game so yes it is nessessary at times to throw off the back foot which he had to do a few times in this game. But he still made those plays. Hes getting knocked down on the last drrive in regulation by i think cole of the eagles and still competing a pass down feild. You want to know his completion percentage. It was 72% and last week it was in the 60 range. Don't tell me if a team is down 17 in the fouth you been sacked like david carr is on a regular basics your going just throw in the towel. The poise is amazing like i said payton doesn't have this poise though hes a better overall qb then eli this is one thing eli has on payton because hes so cold down the strech. The fact is giants defence (though they tightend up in the 4th and ot) oline and tiki (rushing and struggled alittle in the recieving he is the one responsible for elis only int he should have caught that) played bad this game. It was eli burress and toomer who led this team to the win (along with phillys really bad and stupid mistakes) and acually manning's mechanics was good in the game. The thing was he threw off the back foot last year when he shouldn't have. This year hes throwing off it only when it was nessessary and he took alot of sacks expect trying to force the ball like he did last year. His decision making has improved. I can go on and on but i will give my breakdowns later. :edit: I plan on watching the monday night game tomorrow so i will have my breakdowns of giants vs eagles, dallas vs washington and jax vs pitts and i will have alittle thing on new england vs jets since i watched 3 quarters of it and have my final thoughs.

3 things:

1- No more editing of picks, as I have just written them all down.
2- Since we have a new player, and to put Check on even footing somewhat, I'm going to give him 7 points (thetruth's score from last week)
3- Check, since you only missed one week I will allow you to make a Super Bowl pick.

thanks, sorry i missed the first week, giving me those 7 points would be very appreciated. i made some bad picks in hoping of catching up. i promise u wont ever see those type of picks again from me.

super bowl pick is easily the colts, after last year, these guys are out for revenge. PERIOD

great to be a part of here, and thanks again.

peace

note: nobody pick the dolphins this year because they wont win a game! lol

You, killerkill, and Ermac all picked the Ravens for the QOTW, so you'll all be getting 2 points unless Jacksonville or Pittsburgh forces 7 tonight (read: no fucking chance)

nah because the question was turnovers. Oakland fumbed 3 times and balitmore recoved it all 3 times. Plus the ints. 3+3=6 So there was 6 turnovers forced by the ravens.

First before i start my breakdown very very impressive win jaguars.

Breakdowns Giants vs Philly, Dallas vs Washington and Jaxsonville vs Pittsburgh and a little review of the 3 quarters i saw of jets patroits.

Giants vs Philly

MVP: Eli Manning. This was the manning and wr show he single handly brought this giant team back. 72% competion 20/26 in the 2nd half. After being sacked 8 times being hurried on every drop back and the oline of NY playing crappy he single handly took over this game. (notice i am high on eli)

The good

Eagles Line on both sides- Complete dominance on thier part. Though the freak got hurt they can roate line man on defence and there oline kept the giants in check though 3 and 1/2 quarters. Really impress prob have the best line in the NFC on the defensive side along with carolina and even alanta.

Stallworth Mcnabb combination- Stallworth had another very nice game and mcnabb looks as sharp as ever throwing the football. I think Madision competely sucking having to do wiht some of stallworths success in this game including the td madision sliped on the line of scrimage. All in all both played good games.

LJ Smith-
Eli Manning- I am a believer in eli. Either cause i am a giants fan or just i seen every game he played ever since he came into the leauge. And i say he just improves every year in an aspect. Last year was making plays. This year his decision making has improved alot just noticing from the 2 games. Mechanics look alot better. Lastly something i saw that the giants needed despratly from a qb ever since phil simms played and thats a leader at the qb position. Tiki and strahan toomer have been the leaders for the past decade or so we never had a qb that was really any good. though collins lead the giants to the superbowl in 2000.

NY coaching staff in the 4th and ot- I dont' know why it took them 3 quarters to realize there oline was playing badly and thye needed more quick plays and to go to the no huddle. Either way they finally took this approach and they tourched philly.

New Yorks Defence 4th and ot- Again why they let the eagles competely dominate their defence is no idea but in the 4th you saw strahan getting to the qb no sacks and osi getting a sack line backers came in and put pressure on mcnabb and coverage when the eagles pass was alot better. Tackles were made.

NYG Wr's plex and toomer- Besides eli these 2 were the only players to play a good whole game for the G-men. Toomer just seems to be natural for him to make those catches and staying inbounds one of the best at it. Plex of course when he had a guy whos 10 inches shorter on him played well also. Overall over 250 yards receiving.

Bads

1. The giants oline the whole game and dline for 3 quarters- They looked horrible after playing well in NY last week against indy. I do like colfield only lineman to play well the whole game at the tackle. The dline was just pushed off the ball giving mcnabb for ever to throw the ball. The oline prob only gave eli in the first 3 quarters 4 good times to throw the ball. One being the td to toomer on the first drive. Eli was sacked a total 8 times because the oline were just being beat off the ball by the dline of philly.

2. Giants coaching staff first 3 quarters- horrible game plan very horrible all i have to say.

3. Eagles coaching staff in the 4th- God andy ried how do you blow this kind of lead. Your play calling was bad you stlil tried to pass and when you ran you got no where.

4. brian westbrook- Overall he played well but that fumble was bad. It lead the giants right back into this game.

5. Trent cole- Stupid pentaly cole you know feely would have struggled with a 50 yard feild goal but ur kicking mckensize where the sun don't shine and making it a chip shot basically didn't help your team.

Final thought- a great game in two halfs. I was more impressed with the eagles then the giants in this game but they made bone head plays that in part cost them a win and in this division like with the dallas losing to washington last year on the 2 late td passes dallas would have made the playoffs if they had that win. This can have the same effect on the eagles though i don't think it will. Eagles are a good team once they learn to close out games this game will help them in the long run. The giants needed this win they couldn't go 0-2 going into seattle next week and i think they will rebound from a horrible 3 quarters they played and beat seattle before their bye week. Philly gets SF next week so we know who will win this.

I will edit this tomorrow and do more but tonight i am tired so have a gn folks. great football week.

Srry i can't do the tohers i will make quick comments but i been really busy college is a pain in the A**. Anyways in the Patroits vs Jets I think pennington is back to form really impress with the jets ablity to respond but this game proves a point i been trying to make about the patroits. THey got a great running game but now they lost deion branch they got no passing game and no matter how good brady is (very good) he can't take this team back to the superbowl wiht his current recieving core. Tight ends are ok. Defece is horrible pass pretection and good at the run. They'll lose to good teams like denver, Cinn baltimore and the other good teams in the AFC still win their divison just by default.

All i have to say about Redskins vs Dallas is that the redskins d is very overrated and there offence is nothign without portis and it will take a while to learn a 700 page play book. I really dont' like dallas's running game just cause the oline and juiles jones is not better then portis barber and westbrook. Dallas would need protection other wise they won't score no matter they have to or not. But i will tell you when they do get protection and there was times where bledsoe had time he delivered the ball very well. Terry glenn is a great wr and to getting hurt won't hold this team offensivly back. Defence looks sick but can be easliy beaten if you use a spread offence. Just ask jax.
Jax vs pittsburgh. I competly loved this game. I like Jax style and rasheed mathis is a top 5 corner in the NFL. I never seen this much bloodsheed this is what football was about very physical play from both teams. Ben was tough played with a fever in humid jaxsonville. I am really intrested to see jax vs indy next week iw ant to see the best offence or second best offence (cinn has the best offence just cause rudi johnson is better then any of the backs indy has.) vs one of the best defences. Jax is ranked 3rd in my defensive rankings. Steelers are still a great team though they got shut out it will take a week or 2 for there offence to be back in rythem though some of the throws ben made were like elis throws last year.

First all answer your question, ive been to about 9 or 10, all giants games. The biggest one, is i saw the minnesota playoff game in 2000 where the giants got to the super bowl.

But go schedule makers. Miami and the titans sure, but Jacksonville and San Deigo???? LT will run all over buffalo just like he runs all over everyone else. And jacksonville well, marcus stroud might leave losman in a coma.

So that dont mean shit if your team is garbage. There is no way possible the chargers are going to lose to the bills because LT could beat the bills by himself. And theres not a chance in hell for the bills to beat jacksonville. There knock you in the mouth pittsburgh style defense is going to molest the bills, 23 degrees for 93 degrees. And trust me man im from ny i know how harsh the cold weather is, but harsh cold weather and a terrible team all around cant beat a AFC powerhouse like the jaguars.

On the other note, i was bored today in school so i did some predictions ill post them later, imo the best team in the league will be jacksonville, as well as cincy, baltimore, ny giants, atlanta falcons and chicago bears. I know its only week two but i feel the need to do it. smile
