Bored so:

Playoffs, Evaluiation, and Contenders

Basically, I'll run down the top teams in each conference, then begin the post-season stuff that really doesn't matter much. meh, I thinks it's fun discussing the post-season, no matter how early.

AFC:

Colts: Does it need an explanation? They're practically the same team as last year's post-season, which means a better defense for the regular season. I don't expect teams to rush a marathon against them any time soon.

Patriots: They're just too perfect. A defense that suffocates, and an offense that constantly scores. Finally Tom Brady gets the weapons he needs.

Steelers: A great team with an amazing defense. Their offense is playing consistantley, which results in those points that matter. Also, giving out the lowest amount of point avg. among all the teams isn't something to laugh at

Jaguars: Run the ball, and stop the run. That was their way of playing last year, and it worked to a degree, but now they ahve a consistant passer who hasn't thrown a pick yet, and a healed up D-Line.

Chargers: I picked them to go to the Super Bowl, so they will be in the Suoer Bowl. Don't deny it. They showed how good they can be against the Broncs

Titans: The defense is stingy, and their QB finds ways to win, no matter how many picks he throws.

Texans: WHAT!? THE TEXANS!? WHA! Yeah, it's amazing. They have definately improved since last year. They have the defense to fight other good teams, and a QB who can play ball. Watch out folks.

Ravens: A good ball club. Their defense is getting old, but can still hold opponents down. Their offense with Steve McNair isn't doing much. With the addition of the new RB, you'd think they'd do something, but nah. Still, their defense is too good to ignore.

NFC

Packers: A great team. Pass the ball and stop the run? That's exactly what they do and it works. The Packers look amazing, especially since Brett Farve got his spark back

Cowboys: An ugly win, but they are still a good ball club. Their offense is good, and how about that defense? Not a single point allowed to the Bills on defense. That offense sure can score too, scoring 5 TD's in the last game. Oh, wait a second...(Hint: A bit overrated offense)

Giants: THE G-MEN! Yep, they're doing great. Shutting down the Eagles last week after they scored 52 against the Lions was stunning. Eli Manning is begining to bloom into the QB we thought he would be

Cardinals: We finally have a good football team! (I live in Arizona.) They're offense is great, with the running game comming back to life. The defense aint that great though, so still ahve doubts about them wininng the Division

Seahawks: They're good, just get over the loss.

Redskins: Another East team, they are good. Jason Campell is good, making less mistakes, and more completions. They also showed they can spank a team if they want. The Lions got merked.

Bears: I knew they'd bounce back. Their D is too good, and Brian will be emerging as the QB this team has always wanted. Don't expect Grossman to come back soon, or ever.

Playoff Predictions:

AFC:

Home Field: Patriots; 15-1
Bye Week: Colts; 14-2

Bye Week: Packers; 13-3
Division: Cardinals; 10-6

Well i agree for the most part does anyone else think the NFC south might turn out to be the worst division this year. I mean Alanta and NO look like to be bottom feeders and Even carolina and Tampa aren't the "best teams they prob be 3rd or 4th in almost every other division. Carolina lost dehome n now will be depended on David i just got sacked with white gloves Carr. A defence which is aging most to say. Its ironic but i think tampa might win this division by default this season. I mean Jeff Garica is a pretty good qb. Though they don't have a rb any more there defence is easily the best in the division. IDk though i could make a case if NE wasn't in the AFC East that could be the worst division.

You have to pick for the spread. Either you messed that up, or m0 got it wrong.

Yea. The spreads aren't there for looks, gentlemen, you're picking against the spread. Simply picking a winner isn't enough, the team has to beat the spread. Your 8-6 is correct, and so is TPB's 4-10.

Breaking down the Jag's game against the Texans.

Basically a must-win game if these two wanna stay in the division race. If the Jags win the next two, the division will be their's for a while, but if the Texans win, they'll be that much closer to the Colts, and would've practically destroyed the Jag's chances at the title.

The Jaguars will return to the run the ball stop the run format. Obviousley this is the perfect situation to do it in. Your D is finally healthy, and your running backs are losing their rust.

Ahman Green will come back on a bad day. The Jaguars will suffocate him, forcing the pass to a mediocre WR corps. Andre is out, so watch out Schaub.

The passing game for the Jags has been great, and they have been winning games because of Garrard, unlike the past where they won games desptie Byron Leftwitch. The Texans always play the Jags hard, so I don't think David will ahve the best game of his life here.

Basically, I think this game won't be a blowout, and it won't be close either. Maybe a 27-13 type game. Jags win at home.

Yeah, A-Rod gets paid how much now? lol. Anyways, D-Backs are in the playoffs, so small win for me. Hope they kill the Rockies.

Anyways, the Duel in Dallas is overrated. It's gonna be Patriots up by 20 in the first half, and people will begin leaving the stadium. But that's just my take. It might still be a great game if the Boys can compete with the Pat's D

That's what you call a blowout. I've never seen the Jags look as good as they do this year. They're finally playing consistantly, and have a good offense. Thei defense held the Texans to 60 yards rushing. A win next week will put us in the front of the AFC south, the toughest division in football today

We're moving on upglasses

Gerf...in all the excitement of Fox Sports Pro Football pick em, I almost forgot about this MKO pick em...anyways, here's my picks while I still can get em:

Carolina @ Arizona (-4 1/2) - Arizona
Oakland @ San Diego (-10 1/2) - San Diego
New England (-4 1/2) @ Dallas - New Englamd
New Orleans @ Seattle (-6 1/2) - Seattle
NY Giants (-3 1/2) @ Atlanta- MNF - Atlanta

Logically I'd pick the Giants, but I gotta stand by my 1-4 Falcons.

G-I-A-N-T-S giants giants giants. Again another victory though against a bad team. Now with SF (not a easy game by any means SF has a very good defence) and Miami in london the next 2 weeks the g-men can be 6-2 by the bye. What i love is the balanced of the giants offence the ablity to both run and pass effectivly. I think if eli cuts on mistakes this team will be a top team in the NFC by years end. (Still unfourtunly can't compete with the AFC top 2 teams.) But they are on the rise injuries hurt them the past few years but they are healthy and are getting steve smith in the next 2 weeks will make their passing attack alot better. Defence is playing great vs the run besides that big run last night they shut down alantas running game. Pass is alot better not as bad as it was in weeks 1 and 2 but putting ross in the lineup has been a blessing in disguise. I would argue the giants have the best front 4 on defence in the leauge with both robbins and cofeild playing well in the middle and having tuck strahan and uniemyoura playing well on the outside. But theres one group i really want to give major props to. That is the Oline they been outstanding this season. All 5 men and i hope snee and dheil get probowl selections they both deserve. Now the next 2 weeks look good then they get dallas after the bye.
