Amazing what technology can do these days .

I think the FMV is more symobolic than anything else. It's pretty nifty. After all, in the classic sense, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are still, in the hearts and souls of MK fans, "deadliest of enemies."
But I still enjoyed it. Here's the "fights" I saw and can remember:

God the render of kahns arena looks like shit.I love how it looks in the trailer but the still pic of it or of the render of it,IS horrible.But the trailer is awesome lol.

Also, did anyone notice "Light Raiden" falling from the sky at the beginning of the FMV as it's just fading in (15.810 to 15.985 seconds)? It's funny, because we see Dark Raiden fighting Shinnok afterwards. You can see that he's wearing white clothes, and has some blue glow around him like electricty, so I'm sure it's Light Raiden. He is also holding his staff, just at the end, so it's not Kung Lao holding his sword or anything I don't think. I took some pics of the frames, and raised the brightness and contrast some to make it easier to see.

cool nice find maybe the evil raiden in MKD wasnt really raiden but an imposter? who knows until we get some bio's

also i noticed in the Shao Kahn arena that it looks like multiple death trap's there are the grinders on the left , then on the right in front of the prisoner it looks lika an acid pit maybe? and in front of kahn's throne there is a wooden trap door maybe?

Rain Vs. Bo Rai Cho? COuld it be that Rain's still with Shao Kahn, or at least against Earthrealm?

Could anyone clarify for me what exactly they meant about being able to make non-human characters in kak mode?
What proof of this is in this video?

The character with wings is probably the best example they'e shown.



Or it's just a trailer and people are reading too much into it. It's the old trailer we saw only it's been extended. I don't think it should be paid attention to for storyline purposes at all.

Sweet, I still have hopes for Shokan and Centaurs, although at this point I'm happy they even bothered including all that they did.

I agree, as Gillbob316 said in another thread - Midway are appealing to the masses.

The masses being people who may only have a passing knowledge of Mortal Kombat. To them Scorpion and Sub-Zero are still the deadliest of enemies, Rain is evil etc because they don't care much about Mortal Kombat's story.

BTW, did anyone notice on the vid at the create-a-character section where they make a dude that looks like Akuma? I hope Capcom doesn't get mad, lol.

Ok lol, I just want to say who cares what the parries look like, as long as they WORK, the parries could look like everyone is raving for all I care as long as they work and get the job done.Second, I think people are forgetting that even though it's pretty much the same thing as reversals in MK:DA, NOT everyone had reversals in MK:DA, some had reversals, others push move, remember?

Also, the KAK looks badass I seriously think this will be one of the best KAK modes ever in a game IF not the best.I mean it may not be an rpg in terms of extreme depth, but for a fighting game, HA!!It owns so far.

I can't wait for this game, it just looks better and better with every new vid.

I think the "light Raiden" that is being talked about is Ashrah holding onto her sword.

I'm pretty sure the one falling @ the begining is King lao... he has a sword and has blue pants and very dark boots.. aslo if u look closely his hat is very dark and his arms are bare
