but why would someone so famous all of a sudden commit suicide? he wasn't on anything like cobain was, he still had a lot of energy in him, he had a good character in the WWE, why would you even say this? committing suicide... please. It looks Like Beniot Killed His Wife, Son and Himself!!! I Hope, This is Not True

I only just found out about this. Still can't believe it.

I found out on ninemsn.com. I've been trying to get onto wrestling websites but they keep timing out(too many ppl). 10 mins later I finally got onto wrestleview.

Apparantly his father passed away the day before. But surely that wouldn't be the motive behind Benoit's family's passing. Since his wife and son are also dead this rules out the typical steroid/heart failure death. This isn't right. I don't think it's suicide, more so a possible murder. But who would do such a stupid thing.

Why is it always the very good wrestlers that die. The ones that put in day in day out that every fan loves. First Sherry, now this.

I've heard that RAW is being cancelled alltogether is this true? PS: gnrlies1992, Eddie Guerrero died November 13th. I know cause it's exactly a week before my birthday.

Chris Benoit was a great wrestler, I doubt it was suicide or he killed his wife and son cuz thats just evil.

no, the only time it will be cancelled is if theres a really bad storm thats there and no one can get in the arena(Which has never happened, if so tell me) or a wrestler had DIED THERE aka owen hart.... that was so tragic im not bringing that up.

They didn't cancel the whole program, i think he just ment did they cancel it for just tonight.

Yeah, i'm at a loss for words. My heart goes out to the entire family and all the friends. I don't know what to say and I can't understand it. It's too bad this all had to happen, at all, especially considering the Vince shit and WWE's tastelessness.

WWE just posted that it was a double murder suicide. nothing yet has been posted. Not sure if Benoit did it, or the wife... but g-damn that's horrible news to hear.

Trust me I would not joke about something like this.

Most people of WWE described him as a kind-hearted loving gentlemen. So I can't see him killing his wife and son.

Right now there are too many different rumours right now out there so you never know what has exactly happened. We'll have to wait till the results from the autopsies are carried out.

So far I've seen: Possible double-murder-suicide, possible poisoning/strangulation, Nancy & son dieing on weekend and Benoit dieing on Monday - with all three in separate rooms.

Chris probably found them dead and offed himself.

I don't believe that double murder suside thing. IDK Y wwe or any news is confirming it was this or that. They are having an autospy. No direct evidence exist yet. Right now i can think of 100s of senarios that happend but it doesn't matter how it happend because the point is that 3 human beings are dead and thats always sad no matter how you try to scripted it. I won't pass judgement on what happend until i know the evidence and what it concludes. If benoit did somehow do this i will lose respect for him. But if he didn't then the people who are jumping on him saying hes a murder and all this crap should have their words shoved in their mouths.

As to why would Benoit kill himself, well if he came home and found his wife and son dead, that would be a pretty good reason.

Carbon monoxide poisoning is my guess til its proven otherwise.

WWE.Com says thats it's an apparent Double Murder Suicide and that Chris killed his wife and kid over the weekend and then himself on Monday. What the hell coulda made him snap like that.

im still not beleiveing that benoit killed his family. when i first heard of this, i thought the wife snapped. but its not totally official until the autopsy comes as always.

World Wrestling Entertainment is providing more details about the shocking turn of events leading to the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and son Daniel.

WWE officials were first notified this weekend by Benoit that he would be unable to appear at a scheduled Smackdown/ECW House Show in Beaumont, TX on Saturday and the Vengeance PPV the following Sunday in Houston, TX (where he was scheduled to compete for the vacant ECW World Title against CM Punk). Benoit informed WWE officials that he had a serious family emergency and left it at that.

WWE's VP of Government Relations Richard Hering was then made aware of several curious text messages sent by Benoit to WWE employees and wrestlers on Sunday morning. WrestleView.com has spoken with at least one strong source about this situation stating that Benoit's text messages almost had a "thank you and goodbye" theme to them causing many to be alarmed and concerned. As a result, Hering contacted Fayette County sheriffs on Monday and requested that they check out the Benoit residence when he was not getting back to WWE officials.

Authorities then responded to the Benoit residence and reportedly had a difficult time entering their new home on Monday afternoon, which was guarded by two large German Shepards roaming around the property. When authorites entered the home, they immediately located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. World Wrestling Entertainment was then notified of the discovery at approximately 4:00pm Eastern on Monday.

Well, you can kinda look at it that they "cancelled" the normal Raw that was suppossed to happen, even going so far as to not let people into the arena, in favor of the tribute show. I wonder how Smackdown and ECW will go tonight, I see them maybe "cancelling" the regular shows and both coming together for another tribute show, this time maybe with a live crowd and the "BENOIT" black armbands.

I really don't know what to say or to make of all of this, I like all of you are still getting over the initial "shock and awe" of it. I mean, holly hell, it's just so hard to fathom the whole thing. And for everyone who dislikes Vince, you can't tell me that he didn't mean every word he said last night. I mean, he barely got through it all.

To the person who said they're making the Benoit sig, I to would like to use it, if it's ok with you.

There's a difference between them:Chris benoit was never a drug addicted.never.he had no vices,he was professional,he was kind,he was a TRUE gentleman.he's not a killer.He loved his family,so until i'll not found a single TRUE evidence i still don't believe in omicide-suicide thing.
Otherwise,if benoit really kill off his family,i still respect him:he is human after all he was desperate,and maybe he made something out of control of himself.I don't balme him.He had a perfect career,a perfect tecnique,a perfect role,a perfect man professionally and personally.A single mistake(a huge mistake) can't delete the great things that benoit did in life.

2)i really hope that WWE won't change the Benoit death from a tragic new to a marketing/advertaising/financial/fictional thing.I really hate WWE for making business on Eddie guerrero death,and from that day i see only TNA.If WWE make another program about a death of a wrestler,i really start to ask ppl to make a crusade against WWE.

thats okay, to tell you the truth i was having a really crummy day, i was outside in the hot weather all day and im never nice when im hot.

they're probably going to make at least some sort of t-shirts or other merchendises remembering benoit, if they did that to eddie, then there's a good chance that they'll do it to benoit, but not so overboard like they did with eddie.
