Less hope? Hope is dead in the wwe universe. J.R. deserves better.

I just watched the best of WWE 2011 and 2012 on netflix and god damn Michael Cole is annoying now. Every match he says " that move is vintage orton" , "vintage rey myterio" , "vintage cm punk"

The internet wont answer this question for me so I am going to post here in hopes that someone will have an answer for me. What other modes do they have in wwe 2k14? 30 Years of wrestlemania mode, then what? Will there be a season mode? What if mode? I dont want to just complete 30 years mode then have nothing to do in the game

So far I don't think anything else has been announced. Its probably fair to assume the wwe 24/7 mode will return in some capacity. I don't look for this years game to really light the world on fire, especially since the game's publishing future was in question for about half it's dev cycle.

Like Wrestlemania, I'm going to encourage everyone to shift their thinking and start a new thread for the video game, if you're interested. Like any new game release, it's a pretty big topic, it should have room to breathe.

The horror! One good thing to note -- Michael Cole isn't doing the annoying heel schtick he was during those years. He's still no JR, but at least there's a bit less to outright hate about him.

Having its own thread would be cool. I know this is super early but this is my dream wrestlemania match card (wm30)

1. Rey mysterio vs. Sin Cara

2. Some type of money in the bank match

3. Hardy boyz comes back to face dudley boyz. ( I would say edge and christian included but edge is apparently one bump from being paralyzed)

4. Brock Lesnar vs. Undertakers streak

5. Elimination chamber CM punk vs. Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock vs. Kane vs. Big show vs. Daniel Bryan

6. Ryback vs. Goldberg

7. Stone cold Batista and Hulk Hogan come back to have a triple threat match for world heavyweight championship

8. WWE championship four person elimination match - Kurt Angle vs. Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton

.....Now I realize these matches are kind of a long shot especially considering half of these guys arent currently in the business but the big 30 for wrestlemania needs to be epic. This would be the best PPV of all time considering everyone can perform well enough

Still hoping this one might happen, personally!
Would also like to see Goldust and Cody Rhodes face-off, or team-up.

Night of Champions predictions:
- The Usos Prime Time Players (Pre-Show)
- Dean Ambrose (US)
- The Shield (Tag Team)
- Natalya Neidhart (Divas)
- CM Punk
- Rob Van Dam via DQ (Del Rio retains)
- Randy Orton (WWE)

Wow I really have to disagree with that statement, there. "the best PPV of all time"? It looks pretty terrible in my book.

I get the pairing of Mysterio with Sin Cara, but lets face it, between Rey's limitations due to his former knees and Sin Cara's tendency to botch and get injured, it would probably be a car wreck.

"some type of money in the bank match"? This is always one of the best matches on the card, and you didn't even bother to list some guys? Doesn't seem like a good ladder match to me.

Hardyz return versus Dudleyz would be interesting, I guess, but kind of a waste. 4 guys trying to revive something that happened over a decade ago. It would be a good pay check for them, but not really a great investment for the WWE, and considering all 4 guys will be smarter and less willing to do crazy shit, the match wont be as exciting as you're expecting it would be.

Lesnar vs. Taker would be interesting and a good match, but nobody would buy Brock as a legit contender.

Why the Elimination Chamber? I didn't get the choice of entrants.

Ryback vs Goldberg I totally agree with (story wise it makes sense, though it would be a pretty shitty match); too bad Goldberg will never agree to it because of his massive ego.

Why would 3 guys who no longer wrestle, one of them so old and crippled he can't bump, another unwilling to bump due to possibility of paralysis, and the third already pretty old and out of love with wrestling, return for a seemingly meaningless triple threat for the world title? None of them would be a good world champion considering they wouldn't be working house shows, and it wouldn't even be a good match. Batista has always been decent at best in the ring, and Hogan can't even be considered a wrestler anymore. This match would be a total dud.

Angle vs. Triple H vs. Orton vs. Cena would be a GREAT match, I'm sure, but again a pretty lame investment for WWE. 2 guys who will never work a full time schedule ever again, and 2 guys who are already the most established stars in the company today. The match would be good, but nothing productive would come out of it.

So, yeah, a bit of a longshot I'd say.

While I understand the points you made Zentile, I'd like to view WM30 as something that should be more of a treat for long time fans like wwe 2k14, not to make up and coming stars bigger, just like traditional wwe fashion. I dont know about you but I personally think that would be the most perfect match card, maybe with a few people switched. I dont want to see wm 30 with people such as the Miz and John Morrison and David Otunga and whoever else the current roster consists of. This can be the big final goodbye to the old days of wrestling IMO

Good point, but that's kind of been WWE's big mistake for the past 2 years. Cena vs. The Rock was the highest selling PPV of all time - and the RAW after that did insanely shitty ratings, and it's been bad ever since. They bring in guys like Rock and Brock and Taker, pay them a pretty penny, draw a decent PPV crowd and then everyone stops watching the TV shows and ordering the PPVs they're not on. WWE needs to invest in it's future now more than ever because it's been relying too much on the older stars.
Not half as bad as WCW did, but still.
Batista vs. Hogan vs. Stone Cold for the world title, wow.

Anyways,
I was wondering how they were going to have Orton retain the title while still keeping Bryan strong. Great way to do it. Triple H is going to strip Bryan of the title on RAW, probably even strike the title reign from the record and give the belt back to Orton, and maybe even fire Scott Armstrong for good measure.

Speaking of Bryan, hes actually one of the new generation that I actually like. This feud with Orton is pretty decent, I like how he pinned Cena clean too. Personally when The Rock first defeated Cena, oh my god I wish I can relive that moment. It was such a spine chilling moment I remember people in the crowd were hugging each other. I literally said "Vince knows whats good" LOL. Anyways, I would like your opinion on something Zentile, who do you think would be a good match to take on Undertaker at Wrestlemania?

Got my WWE Summerslam 2013. Was pretty bummed with the quality of matches. Was lacking special features like the years before. Only had 1 match on the special features. Music was the same to.

Wish the RVD,Kane,Brock matches were longer.

My 3 fav matches from Summerslam 2013 are.

1. Brock vs CM Punk in a no dq match.
2. Christian vs Del Rio.
3. Daniel vs Cena.

Last years Summerslam was much better.

My Fav Summerslam though is 2001 cause RVD vs Jeff Hardy in a ladder match for the hardcore titile. And i own all the Summerslams on dvd.

Man, last nights main event had the potential to be a real stinker, but they managed to pull it together. The shield managed to raise themselves to a whole new level of bad-assery. Daniel Bryan once again comes out on top. While awesome, it inevitably means he won't be winning the title back this time. And just look at all these people getting face time in the absence of John Cena...weird!

While I am still enamored with the Bray Wyatt character, its kind of obvious that creative has nothing for him. I assume they're waiting on Kane to finish shooting his movie. Great waste of talent.

Am I the only one that hates the fact that Triple H is playing both sides of the fence? One minute he's leading a Daniel Bryan beat down, the next he's putting the shield in a handicapped match...for no reason other than the fact that he's Triple H...and fuck it that's why. If we're really revisiting the whole "regular guy vs authority figure" angle, I'd like the guy that's being raged against, to actually be bad. Otherwise the "regular guy" just kinda ends up looking like an asshole.

No it doesn't.

I LOVE it. A heel that isn't a caricature of a bad guy? I'm all for it, something new for a change. Not to mention that it makes a lot more sense than Triple H all of a sudden changing his attitude entirely. He's being the best heel possible, which is the manipulator, the politician. He's a far more complex character than your typical heel, and that's VERY good and a breath of fresh air for me.

The rule of opposite momentum is an exact science...EXACT!grin

And it is indeed different, but at the end of the day, it really takes the air out of any segment he's in. People don't know whether they should be cheering or booing, and it just kind of leaves a lingering indifference in the air.

Thank you, rkoouttanowhere. It all depends on how many matches Taker believes he has left. His last one should be against Cena, of course. I don't see a whole lot of other possible opponents. Rock and Brock are interesting choices, but creating Taker's Wrestlemania storyline without house show promotion and limited TV doesn't sound like a great idea.

Again it depends on Taker's durability. There's talk of having Ryback work him at the next Mania, but that seems unlikely. Bryan would be a great match, but I'd like to see Punk vs. Bryan for the WWE title at '30.

Fool me twice, but I'm loving the course of WWE tag team wrestling right now. Thrilled to see Goldust & Cody Rhodes ride the wave to a title win and I think it's a great time to reenergize things by getting the belts off The Shield. Hoping this gets the titles back into regular circulation. Particularly with legit contenders stacking up!

Los Matadores are a breath of fresh air. I'm loving it!
The Real Americans are doing good work. I'm looking forward to seeing those two teams go at it. Hoping it'll be on the PPV undercard with the tag titles defended on the same show.

I doubt the longevity and follow through, but I'm enjoying it while it's here.

Personally I thought Bound for Glory was a great PPV (along with the two impacts leading up to it).
Bobby Roode vs. Kurt Angle is easily a match of the year candidate. And Bro Mans vs. Gunstorm, a match with 4 guys I don't like, was awesome. One of the best tag team matches I've seen in a while.

A lot of great surprises went on, as well. Gail Kim and Chris Sabin walking out as champions was excellent, and even though it wasn't a surprise, AJ Styles becoming World Champion and celebrating with the crowd was a great feel-good moment.

I had a blast watching the show and doing live commentary.

Didn't see a lot, but I've been a Magnus fan for years. Hope the Sting win keeps him on the rise to the top. Wouldn't mind seeing him take the belt from Styles somewhere down the line.

Mixed feelings about the upheaval of the canvas. Wanted to see somebody go through the wood. It was a bit of a distraction for longer than it needed to be.

Fair enough. I think putting someone into the wood would've just been a more effective version of the same spot. As it was, they meandered a lot for what I felt was a questionable payoff. Particularly on a four PPV calendar, at one of the major events. Puttering around with the canvas pulled back just didn't seem to match the occasion. Pinning the guy in splinters after using the ring as the ultimate table -- that's a big BFG moment.

Not penalizing them for what they didn't do - but it's a thought.

On a Hell in a Cell note -- Hoping Los Matadores/Real Americans gets added to the card. Little disappointed the IC belt got relegated to kickoff.
