SF is by far my favorite fighting series (used to be MK, before you ask why im here). Im pretty sick on Alpha 3, especially with Ryu and Sakura. Im probably one of the best guys in my area (and im not saying that to be an arrogant jackass, PM me if you're in the 386).
Another thing, what did you think about SF3? I loved the gameplay, but the art direction and characters were god awful. EDIT: also, please dont close this for bumping.

It took me a while to get used to SF3, but everything feels pretty much right about it.

The characters are an oddball mix, but they all seem to fit in their weird way (yes, even characters like Q and Twleve). I have yet to find a better 2D fghter, IMO.

As for Alpha games, SFA2 is my fave of the bunch.

No I Love the game, its the art and cast that i dont much care for. The parry system is a great adition and the super art system is far better than 1 meter for everything, makes you think pre-fight. Granted 3rd Strike has Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Chun-Li, so, Im set (except for my other vicious vixens Sakura and Cammy, but its good)

Cammy and Sakura is what CVS2 is for

Yea, but I would like to have seen them in SF3.

I got SF EX 3 today, its not as blowful as everyone says it is. Granted it is a bit generic, but it is solid.

Best SF game: SFA3
Faves: DAN!!!(so fun to play as), Ryu(HADOKEN!!!), and Balrog(a thuper good fighter according to Shang Tsung).
Hate:Vega(frickin' claw), Dhalsim(CHEAP!!!), Guile(CHEAP!!!)

Anyway i just picked up SFAA about a week ago and damn do i suck. Maybe its because i haven't played a SF game for 5 years? I am currently learning Akuma in SFA3 and his V-Ism combos.

Now they have a Street Fighter II Slot Machine. Looks like Street Fighter aint dead yet.

I kinda miss the arcades...

I just didn't like the juggle-heavy gameplay of Alpha 3. I also didn't care for the changed throw/air throw comands and broken Alpha counters.

I preferred the style and feel of Alpha 2.

Yeah true. The only tournament I've seen people play that involves anykind of MK game is at East Coast Championships. And the game was UMK3. Seems like the majority of the people like Capcom games for some reason. I'm not putting down MK or anything. I like MK and SF the same. I'm just wondering...

Yeah, I've been hearing about it and reading the reveiws in magazines and I'm gonna get it. Do you know if it already has Evil Ryu already unlocked since the world tour mode is gone? I never was able to unlock him, Guile, or Shin Akuma... :(

Just curious does anyone know if any of the Street Fighter games lets you play as Master Gouken? I'm only familar with Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3rd Strike. and Street Fighter Alphs 3 on the PS1. I've been curious to play as him if it's possible.

From the games that Ive played wit Akuma in them I dont think that u can play as Gouken. He's mentioned in the Alpha series but I havent heard of any way possible that u can unlock him and play as him.

Sorry to seem pushy here but does anyone know anything about Evil Ryu in Alpha Anthologies?

Thanks for clearing that up. I kind of got my hopes up that he was playable in one of the games after getting the Sota Toys San Diego Comic Con Master Gouken figure, which has some moves listed on the package. I was think maybe he might have been added into the PSP version of Street Figfhter Alpha 3 Max or something. It would be cool to see him as a playable character in a future Street Fighter game though. Akuma is probably my favorite character from the series, but I still like Ryu, and Ken, and having a Master Gouken with mixed Akuma, Ryu, Ken move set would be really cool, but that also means there more of a chance for him to be really unbalanced in the game.
Oh by the way I've been meaning to ask this but I keep forgetting. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Japanese/PAL, and American versions of both Street Fighter Alpha The Movie, and Street Fighter II V Collection? I've been wanting to buy them, but I don't know if there is any difference between them like there was with the Street Fighter II Animated Movie. I don't want to waste my money on the American verison if it's edited, and censored. I'd rather try and find a PAL import of both, but could some one please clear this up for me?

Yay, I got SF:AA today and unlocked Evil Ryu in SFA:3 upper but I got a problem. I don't know how to do the warp with him...Anyone know how for PS2?
