So because of my business, IT, Finance, background I qualified for a Games Designing course in the UK called Train2Game which is leading games course provider in the UK. However u learn from home and not in a campus. I was hoping to meet people so we can go clubbing but apparently u only meet them at forums not in real life. And so I said I'll get back to them with a decision. I told him about using my energy making wishlists to improve games and my interest in runway (fashion) and he said I'd make a good candidate. He was about to give me a training pack but decided to not give it because I said I'll make a decision later and not now. What do u suggest I do?
Seems like you just lost a perfect opportunity by waiting to make a decision. Why would you NOT take an opportunity like that immediately? Oh I forgot you said something about clubbing.
Whether or not this actually happened, seriously, you seem to enjoy making terrible choices. First with the terrible taste in fashion, spending way too much on an artist drawing you concepts and now this. Whatever they taught you in whatever business school oughta get fired. That or you just never bothered to listen.

Personally, I'd never work in the game industry. Unless I was a voice actor or motion capture performer. But being part of a development team is rough. It's such a make or break business. There's virtually no job security.
Especially with gamer's fixation on triple A titles. There's no room for the middle man anymore. Games now are either Triple A or Indie. And for some reason gamers hate indie games. Which is stupid because some indie games are awesome.

The fact that you even thought about not taking the opportunity upsets me, so much as say you'll think about it.
I haven't been very active recently, but I can see things haven't changed. I just hope eventually you start seeing more to life than clubbing, fashion, and Khrome, it's a really wonderful thing, once you start seeing the upsides.

I think you made the right decision. You weren't sure if it was for you, and because of that, you missed out on a chance of a lifetime... But I'm glad that happened, as I don't think you'll have any positive influence on the gaming industry.
So thank you for missing out on such an opportunity. You have spared the rest of us of much grief.

You did what you did. If there is any chance that the opportunity still exists and you want to take it, push for it. Don't sit around and hope for the best. You already missed the opportune moment.
If you decide it isn't for you, then live your life. I guarantee there will be other opportunities in life as long as you keep your priorities straight, you work hard, break some rules, and feed any ambition you may have.
Actually, coming to this forum for genuine advice was your first mistake. I've seen less negativity from the ass end of an electron.

I just watched a video of funny insults in movies and this is better than all of them.

The three leading countries making games are UK, USA, and Japan. I don't see your s.h.i.t.t.y country anywhere in the horizon. U got owned gayboy (gaymer), now that's what I call game, set and match.

Way to copy/paste your response. No wonder you didn't get the job, there's not an ounce of creativity in your body.
You been called out, hanky, klimaxoxox and what else you call yourself, posting your shitty ideas on the internet. Good luck achieving anything in your life, though I severely doubt you will.

You're boring me gayboy.

I see our MKO hivemind is at it again.
If you questioned the thought that the opportunity was right for you, then it wasn't. You made the proper call. Don't listen to the negativity and find your calling elsewhere.

Incidentally, I'd pay top dollar to see a J-R / hank rap battle.

I love it when people come here to MKO for advice. Thats like going to 4chan and asking something serious. Just don't do it.

That was uncalled for! I seriously expected better from you!
I would've loved to capitalize on the opportunity to make my ideal characters a reality. But I never get a break. & the fact that you just discarded it like it was nothing just really aggravates me to no end!!!
You can forget about "Khrome" ever being in a video game with that type of behavio(u)r.
I did what any rational person would do concerning an ambiguously pitched internet based degree and googled it instead of asking a mortal kombat fan site advice.
Here is what I found - Scroll down for John Knox's reply
Also Hanky, don't go and get yourself banned now that the site is getting flooded with new people. They need to be subjected to the hankypanknotronic experience like we've been the past several months.
