Well, I sure did. After school, mom and I went to Circuit City. She stopped at the front, let me out, and went to go park the car. I fled inside and a whole bunch of ROTK DVDs were on a standee just waiting to be watched. I almost leaped over there and grabbed the widescreen one and bought it. Then, I rushed inside the house, put it in, and watched the battle scenes. Then, I flipped to other scenes like Shelob's Lair, Minas Morgul, etc. Then, mom got all settled, then we watched it from The Stairs of Cirith Ungol to the end. This afternoon was great! smile

So, did any of you guys get it?

I was hoping they'd release a special edition "Ends half an hour sooner" edition, but no dice.

I'll probably pick it up eventually.

I'm waiting for the extended version, i didn't even see it in the cinema, i'd rather wait to see it un-edited than the edited cinema version,

I'm with you. I haven't seen any of them in the theatere. I already own the 4 disk unedited version for ther first 2 movies, so I'll just wait till november for them to do the same with this one.

I did see the cinama version of the first one cause a friend of mine bought it, but when I bought the 4 disk verion and watched it, I didn't really notice any extra/extended sceens. The 4 disk versions are the unedited ones right?

kabal: Yeah; I for one don't notice any difference either because everytime I do watch the Ex. version it's like weeks inbetween, and I've only seen the edited version once, and it was almost a year before the Extended version came out. So rest assured, you are getting extra goodies. ^_~

I just got it today, I heard it was really good and it won awards for that movie. The only problem I have with it is that movie is pretty damn long. I'm watching it right now as I type this.

I'm watching when the little Hobbit Mary grabbed that ball and Gandalf got mad at him.

Yeah, that was awesome. And it was funny afterwards when Gimli said: "That still only counts as one!"

You bastard...J/K. I went to get it at Target but grabed the regular one by mistake. For some reason they still had it with the new releases so I mistook it for the Extended Version. Looks like I got to waiste another $20+ for the extended version.

Why not just return it and get the Extended edition instead? Unless you want the regular edition too, you could explain the situation and they might do an exchange even if you've opened it? smile

True. I've never thought of that. I've always assumed that once you opened a cd/movie/video game stores won't exchange or refund them unless there defective. Most stores I've encountered do follow that rule too. Plus I think I already threw the reciept away.
