I agree with you bro, i dunno what kind of upgrades were done, but hey sem they're not working, and i'm not trying to bitch, but i love this site and i hate to wait 5-10 mins for a pg to load, adn im on Cable.

I also agree. It was ok when it was once in a while but this problem is almost daily now.

Yeah, it's really starting to get annoying. Every so often, ok you can deal with that, but practicaly daily? Come on, even the most patient person can't help but be a little annoyed. I'm on high speed too, so there's no excuse, lol. I hope something gets done before the few weeks before MKD gets released...

Not only that but theres so many more who visit here and are not registered. So in reality when theres 30 people online, there could be 2,000 hitting this site.

But even then.. it shouldn't cause a server busy error unless the server sucks. Which it will and will continue to until something is actually done.

From what I experience, the site does run a lot faster then it did this time a month ago. Pages load very quickly, etc.

However, from time to time yes I get the dreaded white screen, 'Server is Busy' but after a minute or two, all is normal.

I assume it's traffic, as said above, because it happens a lot when a new update to MK:D is added, and it happens a lot at night, when a lot more ppl might be surfin for MK:D info.

really cause I remember when it said there was over 100 people signed on in here and it didnt have a problem then so I dunno.But i agree it does get annoying.

Considering we don't pay to access the site, we'll just have to live with it.

I dont think the threads make a difference i think its the traffic on the site that makes the server busy.

What you are getting is free, don't expect too much for a free service...though the idea of having a paid option has crossed my mind at least several times, though I doubt we'd end up doing that at all. Who knows?

It is a problem. Such is life. Obviously, it hasn't differed me from MKO, and, like any good marriage, you learn to deal with set-backs and accept faults or head for divorce court. I like my marriage, faults and all. Fatality.

It's not the threads that are slowing this site down its the users who come view em. I guess theres nothing we can do. Oh well. MK:D is coming out in about another Month or so... I will barely be on here anyways.

Do you know how much this site costs to maintain?

The extra influx of money would help with costs and upgrades, as well as possibly provide a subscribers only type forum even...then people whom wanted to avoid all the "n00bs" could retreat there instead.

But, as I've said, paid options don't seem to be on the horizon.

I don't see the problem with adding a Paypal link. I'm sure there are those who would donate a few bucks here and there.
