Yeah. I'm talking about the SFIII manga (that dealt with this). Canon until it isn't, as always, but it was a pretty satisfying way of taking the virtues of SFIII, anchoring it to Ryu's story, and doing exactly that - taking it to conclusion.

Console exclusivity for big games drives me nuts regardless of what console it's for. I have to admit that I'm also extremely weary of Street Fighter now after there were so many iterations of SF4.

On the flip side I'm happy a new SF is coming out. Maybe this time Alex can get some freakin' respect.

Well it is confirmed that Street Fighter 5 will ONLY be on PC and PS4. Also there will be cross-platform play between PC and PS4.

Yup , dam. Pretty disappointed it's a PS4 exclusive.

I freakin' love that Hong Kong stage. I'm just really burnt out on Street Fighter with all the supers and arcade versions and whatever else they had with SF4 to care about SF5. That's my thoughts for the time being.

Hopefully by the time this game actually releases people will have the urge for more street fighter.

Indeed. It appears that Sony stepped up and is helping produce/fund the game ala Nintendo and Bayonetta 2. Exclusivity sucks, but as someone pointed out earlier, it looks as if Sony is the reason this game is able to happen in the first place. So in that respect, bravo Sony.

Xbox fans don't worry i bet street fighter ultra edition will be on the console you just won't be getting the first version of street fighter V and people are better off waiting to buy it anyway knowing how crapcom is....

That article is over a year old though. Supposedly there is already a playable build of the game, that will demoed next weekend a Capcom Cup.

That being said, Ultra Street Fighter 4 is coming to PS4 in the spring 2015, so I honestly couldn't see Street Fighter 5 being released until late 2015 at the earliest, more likely 2016. I don't think we're going to have to wait until 2018 for it. Looks like there will be no arcade release, which will shorten development time.

I dunno about that.

The game is literally being built on PS4 hardware. We'll see.

What's about to be said is a 3rd party statement meant only for the complainers who don't realize what they had and we didn't last year.

I think it's funny how XB fans are raging over this. Oh well I say. I and many others wanted KI on ps4 did we get it? Nope. Who cares if MS owns Rare the fact is you guys have your console Fighter exclusive to XB. Now we got our Exclusive big name fighter title. Deal with it.

Sony has both Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. As well as the most recent free to play versions of both Tekken and Soul Calbur.

While I love KI, I honestly haven't had much time to play it lately. Also everything I've read recently says that the community is actually in decline. A lot of players aren't happy with thw game's gameplay direction under Iron Galaxy. And after yesterdays announment with Street Fighter, CD_jr, the currently Evo KI champ, said he already plans on dropping the game after next year's evo in favor of Street Fighter. As he wants to only concentrate on 3 games. With Mortal Kombat X and Guilty Gear Xrd being the other two.
it's pretty foolish to argue Killer Instinct is even on the same level as Street Fighter. Last year's Evo entry numbers: Ultra Street Fighter 4=1,900+, Killer Instinct=330+.

A lot of devs have said in the past that both hardware are pretty identical. So we'll see. I think the biggest factor to getting any version of Street Fighter 5 on Xbox one, will be MS willingness to open up cross play with PC. It seems to be one of the biggest issues regarding the game, to have a bigger player base.

Juri is a must. She's my favorite Street Fighter character.

I'd also like to see Ibuki and Dudley as well. Dudley has kind of grown on me after watch Smug with him. Otherwise I'm sure I'll be happy with the number of shotos in the game.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the 3rd Strike characters like Necro, Twelve and Q this time. Other than them id like to see Akuma, Oni, Evil Ryu, Juri Han, and Ibuki.

Character-wise, all my favs have made numerous appearances over the past few years, so most of 'em may not make the cut this time around.
