Kinda sick of Street Fighter bring back missing/dead characters. Hope this doesn't shorten Guile's odds. Didn't need Charlie's return, but the way the trailer is a cool way to do it. I hope Guile will still harass Abel. Just cuz.

Capcom picked up new KI's habit of revealing new characters in the post-credits scenes?
Anyway, nice. I always liked Charlie more than Guile, so it is a good surprise. I hope it's just a start and there will be more previously ommited characters. All I need is Karin and Q. Though, Gill and Twelve wouldn't hurt either.

Here's the Live gameplay demo from yesterday. Ono said that every character would feel more unique than ever. And then we see Ryu has only 2 Super meter bars while Chun Li has 3. Very interesting. And I almost fell off my bed laughing at the noodles.

As for Charlie, I'm happy to see him return. I've always preferred him to Guile.

Charlie???? Holy shit!!!

I wonder what the storyline will be? It takes place after SFIII so shadaloo is long gone and Gill lead the illuminati afterwards. Wonder if we'll have a nice mix of Alpha, Super II, III, and IV or maybe even characters that haven't appeared since the 1st one. As long as I get T Hawk(highly doubt it), Urien, Makoto, Karin, Rolento or Juri.

I honestly have no idea how the roster will turn out this time. Charlie has opened the floodgates for speculation.

- Capcom and Epic Join Forces for Street Fighter® V

At PSX (PlayStation®Experience) in Las Vegas on December 5, Capcom gave the world the first look at Street Fighter® V. Announced exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PC, and providing cross-platform play that will unite fans into a centralized player base, the upcoming title is poised to take the company’s fighting game franchise in an all new direction. Announced today, Capcom and Epic Games revealed that the new Street Fighter® is being built upon Unreal Engine 4, Epic Game’s very latest game engine technology. This new license agreement with Capcom arms their Street Fighter V development teams with Epic's best-in-class development technology for years to come.

“Our goal with the next generation of Street Fighter is to take our beloved fighting game franchise and bring it to our fans in the best way possible,” said Bochan Kim, Producer, Capcom. “In order to fully deliver on that promise, we know we have to incorporate the latest and greatest technology available, which is why we partnered with Epic Games to power Street Fighter V using Unreal Engine 4.”

“I have been a very loyal fan of this historic franchise since the debut of the first Street Fighter in 1987. This opportunity to help the development team using Unreal Engine 4 for the new title is a great honor for Epic, and I couldn’t be more proud,” said Taka Kawasaki, Territory Manager of Epic Games Japan. “We know that the expectation level of fans is extremely high, so the support staff of both Epic Japan and Epic HQ have been providing dedicated support to help the team realize the very best performance from Unreal Engine 4 and deliver the highest quality experience to players.”

Before announcing the next game, they should finish patching the game and give the option to turn off the player battle log. It's because of the "amazing" feature of recording my fights that loading times are so awful in Ultra on PS3, it's almost unplayable.

You can get in the online beta if you pre-order Street Fighter V in North America I believe?

Yeah, pre-order a game that will most probably have an updated version in a years time? No thanks.

- Street Fighter 5 coming in spring 2016, says Capcom blog (Update)

Yesterday the Capcom-Unity blog offhandedly mentioned Street Fighter 5 would launch in spring 2016, in a post announcing a couple of Street Fighter t-shirts. This is news to Street Fighter fans, who so far hadn't been given any kind of a release window for the next edition of the franchise.

Update: A Capcom representative says, "What was listed was just a tentative release time and no official announcements have been made."

Street Fighter 5 will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. The latest news on the franchise is that Capcom will run an online beta for the game at some point, providing access for all who pre-order the game.

MK fans don't know the meaning of wanting to see more characters!

I love Street Fighter, favorite fighting game series along MK.

To me Street Fighter 3 is one of the best fighting games of all time.

My 2 mains are already confirmed, Chun Li looks great, and I can't wait to see M.Bison, plus it seems he has a cape now.

To me the game looks more like a 3D Street Fighter 3 than an updated SF4.

A shame it will only come out next year.

nk rel="image_src" href="http://assets1.ignimgs.com/2015/05/18/bison-throwjpg-9deb05_400w.jpg" />- Breaking Down Street Fighter 5's Bison Reveal Trailer [YouTube]

Anyone paying attention to the last Street Fighter 5 trailer should know that M. Bison, aka Dictator, is the newest addition to the roster, but I doubt they expected how many new tricks he'd have up his sleeve. Sure, he looks like the same old Bison (except what's up with that gray hair?), but much like with Charlie before him, it seems the folks at Capcom saw fit to take some liberties with his play style. I'm all about that, so let's dive into what's new!

He's heeeeere.

In the trailer, he appears to be able to teleport now, part of his arm looked Frankensteined on, and that 3rd eye...

I`ve been waiting for Birdie to return, myself.

Blanka clue? The motorcycle/street scene in the background makes me wonder about Rufus. [Note: The toy is Ono's photo gimmick, not necessarily part of the clue].

Guile clearly visible. Possibly Ken's hair.

Squinting at the character select for guesses...

Row 1: Ryu, Ken, Rufus, Cammy?
Row 2: Guile, Abel?, Honda?, Charlie?
Row 3: Chun-Li?...

E3 excitement~!

The V-System consists of three variable mechanics all built around the new V-Gauge, which primarily builds as your character takes damage. The three mechanics are: V-Skill, V-Trigger and V-Reversal.

- Xbox Will Never Get a Version of Street Fighter 5, Says Capcom Rep

... a Capcom representative has told GameSpot that Street Fighter V, in any iteration, would never ship on Xbox One.

"One comment we see a lot is that something like a Super Street Fighter 5 is going to come out on Xbox," said the representative. "But the reality is that this is a real partnership. We are console exclusive for this franchise for this numbered run."

Speaking about the close relationship between itself and Sony, Capcom has said the partnership will yield benefits beyond marketing support.

"We’re not talking about how we’re handling post-launch content, but I can say the relationship with Sony does open doors for things we haven’t been able to do in the past," the representative said.

"The relationship serves a gameplay and development purpose, and not just a marketing value."
