This update just comfirmed Ness. Why wouldn't Ness be in the next game if there is an item from Mother in there?

Those from Smash64 will all make it to Brawl. Maybe Jigglypuff will be replaced by a similar pokémon, but I doubt they'll remove the rest move. Captain Falcon, Ness and Luigi will be there for sure. It's a given isnt it ?

I would think so. Captain Falcon are two of the most unique characters in the game. There are so many copies, such as Pichu, Dr. Mario, Young Link, Marth/Roy (They were pretty much the same), Falco, Ganondorf, etc.

its a shame... if they had all-new B moves they would have soooo much potential....

The rumor said Ice climbers, young Link and Game and Watch wont make it.I think if they're not in, the Brawl team should do this:

1. Replace Ice Climbers with a new team (Plusle & Minun or Toad & Toadette...)

2. Put Ice climbers and Game and Watch as Assist Trophies

Well, they're replacing Young Link with the Link from The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. I think they also might put Ridley in place of Game and Watch or Ice climbers.

Ness is not confirmed. Ness might be replaced by Lucas. You ever know, he was supposed to be in Melee.

G&W will get in. He is Father Nintendo. Why wouldn't he?

Jigglypuff will be in. #2 Pokemon in Japan next to Pikachu.

The only characters I don't see comming back are Pichu, and Young Link. I hope they take out the Climbers for a different duo, but I don't think they will

this is most deffinately NOT my dream list, but here is what i think the rest of the cast is gonna be:


luigi,wind waker link, captain falcon, krystal instead of falco?,jigglypuff,sonic,tails,pikachu,pichu,mewtwo,mew,aiai, yoshi, ganon dorf,birdo,toad

that would be cool i guess but i want alot more character roster than last time. with new and old characters.

I think they only update on weekdays.

Anyway these are my predictions to who gets in (excluding characters already confirmed):

Luigi, Captain Falcon, Ness/Lucas, Jigglypuff, Ganondorf, Falco/Wolf, Ridley, Mewtwo, Lucario, Animal Crossing character, Sonic, Toad, and Diddy.

I think that would bring the roster to 30, with maybe a few more.

These are the characters getting in:

Bowser Jr.
Diddy Kong
King K. Rool
Midna (I hope)

'= It is so obvious
*= If Sonic gets in, they will probably put in Shadow as the third

Yeah it would be cool to see Midna as an assit trophy. Something like Midna on Wolf-Link

I read about what you said LiuKangMaster a few months ago, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. Besides, if Ridley is in fact included in SSBBrawl, that has nothing to do with him being a replacement for Mr. game & Watch or the Ice Climbers. It would be awesome to play as Ridley, and it would be cool to have another Link than the Twilight Princess one... since Link has so many designs, he could also appear as a more cartoonish, small and nimble character with totally different attacks and special moves, like his Wind Waker counterpart.

SubMan799, why wouldn't they include Ness ? He has been very popular and is also has been in every Super Smash Bros. game to this date. I think he has 100% chances of making it to brawl. And I didn't know Jigglypuff was the second most popular Pokémon in Japan ! It's surprising in a sense, but then again it is not.

From those you listed Reign_of_Chaos, I'd like to see: Krystal, Tails, Mew, Ganondorf and Toad. Thos I'm sure will return are: Luigi, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Sonic, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Yoshi, Ganondorf, Birdo and Toad.

And yeah, sadly we don't have any news on Saturday and Sunday. I'm also dying to see this week's news !

You guys didn't see the link I posted on the first page. It's official that Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, and Young Link aren't coming back.

it also says that Falco and the other clones will be reworked w new moves
also that there'll be around 40 characters and that 2 or 3 more will be 3rd party characters...

I still find the whole thing kinda sketchy... not really believable that they would release all that info and it wouldnt make it to IGN or Gamespot or one of those....
