Yea, Eathbound is a big thing in Japan. Too bad they only made one game for it here. It's like 60 bucks, so I need to save up to get it.


You guys didn't see the link I posted on the first page. It's official that Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, and Young Link aren't coming back.


I went to the actual french website they link there...
it also says that Falco and the other clones will be reworked w new moves
also that there'll be around 40 characters and that 2 or 3 more will be 3rd party characters...

I still find the whole thing kinda sketchy... not really believable that they would release all that info and it wouldnt make it to IGN or Gamespot or one of those....

I alos heard about that. It might be a rumor, but I think they did make it to those big sites if I'm not mistaken.

Ness may be replaced by his counterpart Lucas. I've heard that Lucas was supposed to be in Melee, but got replaced by Ness because his game, Mother 3 was cancelled. However since then Mother 3 was released in Japan, so I'd say there's a 60 percent chance Ness will be in Brawl and a 40 percent chance Lucas will be in Brawl.

About Jigglypuff, she is one of the most popular Pokemon, but I'm almost positive she isn't as popular as she was in 1999 when Smash Bros 64 was released. However, I do expect to see her in Brawl.

Yeah, there's a good chance Lucas will be in. But I don't want Ness to be gone. The world needs more Mother.

I Don't really care so long as Ganon and MewTwo are confirmed for Brawl, they own. And if Ganon is in His Twilight Princess costume he will be ultimate (especially if he has his sword)

NEss was not suppose to be in Melee, but he got in due to a delay in Mother 3. Lucas was suppose to replace him. Thats why I tihnk he might get replaced

yeah! the light sword from twilight is pimp!!!
I hope he gets a couple magic atacks too tho...

Horrible update imo. I can see why people would love this but I personally don't like it at all. I would've rather had a new playable pokemon instead.

On a side note, I'm thrilled to play as Charizard since I've always wanted him as a playable character but I still think it blows that he's not an individual unlockable character on his own. Granted....I don't like Ivysaur of Squirtle (should've atleast been Blastoise Imo, so you could have Charizard/Blastoise matches).

Blah. I just hope the next character update pays off.

Sounds great. It's kinda like a 3 in 1 char kind of thing, kinda similar to Zelda/Sheik. Can't wait for more news.

I like this Pokemon Trainer character. I think after you thrw the pokeball, you might be able to control the pokemon. And it's cool to have unlimited Pokeballs, instead of everyone fighting for them when they fall.

They probably wont. Unless the level goes rather slowly. I'd also like to see how Yoshi's egg throw will boost him into the air.

Well, this was unexpected.

I can't wait to use Red. Sorry Pit and Wario, but I have a new favorite newcomer. Not only that, but we get to play as 3 very popular Pokemon. And they all look great, so much better than they looked in Stadium/Colosseum/XD/Battle Revolution. Yeah this is my favorite update by far.

However why don't they call him "Red" instead of "Pokemon Trainer"?

Becuase he isn't Ash. And in the original Pokemon games, your character wasn't a specific one. They also might be taking the guy from Pokemon Ranger. It does look like him.

No, actually it's Red (not Ash or the Ranger character). Red is the protagonist of the Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, FireRed, and LeafGreen games.
