Update - Smash Attacks

Talks about how the Smash Attacks are performed, as well as the "A" button combinations. Similar to Melee....I'm sure we all know the usuals as of yet.

Update - Bridge of Eldin

This area is from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Its a really flat terrain; King Bulblin makes appearances by using bombs to blast holes in the stage.

Looks great. Makes up for yesturdays update.

It'd be great if, through the battle, the Twilight Realm took over and you had to fight in a grey scale version of that stage with a bit of an altered landscape and what not.

I like this stage... it's kinda dark. SSB needs more of those stages... instead of yoshi's stage who look totally childish imo..

I agree.

Since they added the evening/night time effects in Brawl, I think we'll have a much more gloomy game this time around. But so far, I must say that I'm very impressed with the stages. I personally feel that the evening/night system will have a much better feel and impact in Brawl.

Imo, what they need to focus on more is the pokemon - which are beyond childish. In Melee, we had most kiddy-looking pokemon with the exception of Mewtwo. I hope in Brawl we have more mature/tough/violent pokemon. I say take away Pichu and replace it with Raichu; others I'd like to see would be - Deoxys, Mew, Darkrai, Charizard, Blastoise, Jirachi, Lucario, etc.

Even though, I agree with you. Yoshi's stage has to have those bright and soft colors, because that's how the original game was. They can't make it darker, it'll be so unyoshi. :P

Anyway, this stage looks cool. I like it.

Even though I thought Pichu was really fun to play with in Melee, I have to agree. Besides it was too much like Pikachu. However if it does make it into Brawl, I'm not gonna complain. Jigglypuff and Mewtwo SHOULD be in Brawl. They're original and popular enough. To replace Pichu, I'd go for Lucario or Aipom. Most of the ones you listed I won't be surprised to see in Pokeballs though.

What Pokémon would you like to see in brawl ?

Pokémon that should be playable:

1. Marowak: would be awesome.
2. Raichu: instead of Pichu. Faster runner but slower and more powerful fighter than Pikachu.
3. Mewtwo: should be heavier and, either less sluggish or more damage-dealing.
4. Blastoise: to counter Bowser as the fire turtle. He should be as big as Bowser.
5. Jigglypuff: will surely come back with the Rest move.
6. Meowth: should be in as the quickest and most nimble pokemon. Pay Day, Fury Swipes et Slash would be cool.
7.Blaziken: would be nice to play.
8. Lukario: looks like Anubis, so it'd be cool.

Pokémon that should be in pokéballs:

1. Magikarp: does SPLASH (evolves when kicked)
2. Gyarados: does THRASH (appears only if Magikarp is kicked)
3. Eevee: Evolves into one of the following;
4. Jolteon: does THUNDER
5. Vaporeon: does HYDRO PUMP
6. Flareon: does FLAMETHROWER
7. Espeon: does PSYCHIC
8. Umbreon: does FAINT ATTACK
9. Leafeon: does LEAF BLADE
10. Glaceon: does BLIZZARD
11. Ditto: would TRANSFORM into players, not other pokes
... also Arcanine, Ninetales, Persian, Houndoom, Togekiss, Altaria, Sandslash, Legendaries ...

^ I pretty much agree with your ideas. Here's Mine:

Playable Pokemon

Meowth - Popular in the anime cartoon series. Meowth would be a light weight, similar to Pikachu. He'd have quick slashes and bites; a high jump range.

Raichu - Replacement for Pichu. Higher attack power, but he'd be slower with low jump range. For speed comparability, think Falco/Fox.

Blastoise - Water version of Bowser. Similar stats - Heavy and slow with great defense, but he'd lack a bit in attack power.

Charizard - High attack power with great jumping abilities. However, he'd lack a bit in defense.

Mewtwo - Revamped with higher speed, attack, and defense. His moves need to be more fast and swift with less lag-time. His jump needs big improvement too.

Mew - I don't care all that much for him, but I always thought he'd be a neat addition since he can learn almost any move. Stats would be like Pichu's, but he'd have very high jump range + high special attack power.

Deoxys - Imagine all the moves he could have, especially since he has so many forms. Deoxys could also use his tentacles for special attacks. His stats would work similar to Mewtwo's.

Jirachi - I don't care much for him either, but he could be a representative for the third generation like Deoxys. I'd obviously choose Deoxys over him though, seeing as he'd probably work better as a pokeball pokemon that uses Doom Desire upon being released.

Darkrai - Imo, one of the coolest new pokemon in the fourth generation. Darkrai will be featured in the new upcoming pokemon movie "Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai". I think he'd make a decent character in Brawl - lightweight like Jigglypuff, but with very high special attack power. Not to mention, he'd float most of the time...giving him a very good jump move.

Lucario - Alot consider him a representative for the fourth generation. Being part fighting-type, he can have all sorts of unique fighting abilities (can you say...Focus Punch?) I'd give him stats similar to Link.

Pokeball Pokemon - This time around, I hope to mainly see pokemon from the third and fourth generation.

3rd Generation:

Mightyena - A pack of these scramble around you, biting everywhere.

Dustox - Released poison powder in the sky that stuns temporarily stuns everyone.

Exploud - Metal Sound.

Aggron - Iron Tail.

Swalot - Blasts Sludge Bombs everywhere.

Wailord - Water Spout.

Camurupt - Magma blasts out his back into the sky; then pours down on everyone (Lava Plume

Torkoal - Smokescreen.

Cacturne - Shoots needles everywhere.

Lunatone - Psiwave.

Solrock - Solarbeam.

Salamence - Dragonbreathe.

Metagross - Meteor Mash.

Regi's - Regirock = Rockslide. Regice = Blizzard. Registeel = Flash Cannon. Regigigas = Giga Impact.

Latias/Latios - Their signature psychic moves.

Kyogre/Groudon - We've already seen Groudon. I'm guessing Kyogre will get a very power water attack - like Hydro Pump or Surf.

Rayquaza - Hyperbeam.

4th generation:

Mismagius - Blasts of Shadow Balls

Skuntank - Toxic = badly poisons whoever it hits.

Hippowdon - Runs around using Crunch several times.

Toxicroak - Uses Poison Stab several times.

Carnivine - Razorleaf.

Abomasnow - Uses Icy Wind which slows everyone down.

Magnezone - Shockwave = temporarily stuns opponents.

Lickilicky - Lick.

Rhyperior - Horn Drill/Stone Edge.

Tangrowth - Vine Whip.

Electrive - Thunder/Thunder Wave.

Magmortar - Fire Blast/Flamethrower/Magma Storm.

Mamoswine - Horn Attack.

Dialga - Roar Of Time.

Palkia - Spacial Rend.

Heatran - Heatwave.

Giratina - Ominous Wind.

Arceus - Since he's the most powerful pokemon (god of all pokemon), his attack should be the strongest. Move = Judgment.

That's alot of pokemon. But as you can see, the possibilities are endless.

Raichu should be like pikachu but with some different attacks. Also:

+ Faster running speed than pika
+ More powerful than pika
-- Higher attack delay/slower attack speed
-- Bigger so easier to hit
+ A bit better knockback defense

All in all, Raichu should be a hidden character and SHOULD be at least a bit higher than Pikachu on the tier list. I mean what was HAL thinking when they added Pichu in Melee...

If Raichu can't make it as a character, I think he should be an assist character or Pikachu's final smash.

They should bring back the way the characters appeared at the beginning of the game. Remember in the first SSB, when Mario would come out, out of a pipe and Kirby from a star? I wish they would bring that back.

Update - Standard Combos

Standard combos used in Melee will work similar in Brawl, except this time around it seems to be alot easier. Now you can just hold down the attack button to automatically do consecutive standard attacks.

So attack combinations will be even easier than before.

I think it depends on the person, like Fox does his kicks if you rapidly press A, as for Metaknight you press the A button down.

Update - Dr. Wright

Dr. Wright is a character from the SNES game SimCity. He's an Assist Trophy in Brawl; what he does is make skyscrapers shoot up from underneath to inflict damage among players.

Interesting.

Samurai Goro is too obscure to be played as where there are people like Luigi and Wario and Bowser that people want to play as.

Update - Bumper

Remember that Bumper item back from Super Smash Bros 64? Now its back again, this time in Brawl.

Btw, since Samurai Goroh won't be playable, I hope they add Black Shadow, Deathborn, or Pico as the villian. Black Shadow is one of the biggest villians in the F-Zero series, so I think he'd be one of the best choices.

I like Assist Trophies, but I must admit....seeing a character you wanted playable but instead is an Assist Trophy could get annoying, especially if its big wanted characters like King K Rool, Toad, Sonic; others.
