Russel Crowe is pretty cool. I liked him in L.A. Confidential. If they cast him as Snake, I'd accept it.

The dude that played Adrian in Little Nicky should be Liquid Snake...And Solid should be Played by Hayter, since he kinda looks like him anyway.
But, if there not gonna follow the game, why not introduce another Clone...Maybe another one thats unknow, like Solidus, but not as big of a D-Bag...
Gasious...

Well, I'm pretty sure that in his later days, Old Snake was quite gaseous himself.

Cristopher Randolph (The voice actor for Otacon) actually looks quite a bit like him...Maybe he should play him...
Also, Ocelot should be played by Kris Kristofferson...Just seems to fit the part
So, my cast is as Follows:
David Hayter-Solid Snake
Rhys Ifans (Adrian from Little Nicky)-Liquid Snake
Christopher Randolph-Otacon
Kris Kristofferson-Revolver Ocelot (Shalashaska)

- Sony In Talks With Jordan Vogt-Roberts To Helm ‘Metal Gear Solid’
EXCLUSIVE: Sony is finally getting it in gear on Metal Gear Solid, the live-action feature based on the top-selling video game. The studio is in early talks with Jordan Vogt-Roberts to come aboard and direct the film. Vogt-Roberts helmed The Kings Of Summer. The project is produced by Avi Arad, and it’s being steered by production president Michael De Luca. This is a long-gestating project because it just took so long for the game creators and the studio to find themselves on the same page in how to tell the story of protagonist Solid Snake. Created by Hideo Kojima, the game has been around on PlayStation since 1998. Snake is a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit. Snake must liberate two hostages — one the president of a major arms manufacturer — confront the terrorists, and stop them from launching a nuclear strike.
More in the article. Always interesting to see these long form projects develop.
If all else fails: we'll always have the Third Act of Inception.
