We don't need to nuke anyone because nothing is going to happen. The guy is all talk, trying to be like his father. If this was a very serious threat, then there would have been more serious precautions taken place rather than having stealth planes fly over and such.

But really, I heard a good example on Red Eye the other night. The United States might be China's bitch, but North Korea is China's crack baby. If it's whining interrupts a deal, well then they may just have to take to the firehouse.

North Korea exists because China allows it to exist. If China say "Go for it" or "We're with you" we would have every single member of Kim Jong Un's cabinet dead within 36 hours. Likewise, we don't attack without China's consent because we don't want to risk provocation of an "ally" and economic powerhouse. Really, if North Korea so much as launches a weather balloon at us China would kick down their border and establish a police state faster than you can say "Ni Hao!" China doesn't want North Korea to fuck up what they have because China is in a really good spot. China has created an interesting blend of Communism and Capitalism; use the free market of other countries to fund your own Communist programs- ingenious really. North Korea, however, is still practicing the outdated march and scare tactics of Stalin and Mao and doesn't seem to understand the fact that their is a global economy now.

Yes we would have. But the war would have went on for longer, or Japan would have negotiated peace with Russia. Either result would have had the effect of millions of more lives lost. Because we didn't know the ramifications of dropping a nuke, and to avoid further loss of life, that's why we did it. If it's no big deal ask yourself why in the history of killing people with technology, only 2 atom bombs have been ever dropped in over 60 years.

Here's the thing.


Even if North Korea was able to build a rocket capable of reaching at least Hawaii, it would be roughly equal to the rockets that we and the Soviet Union possessed decades ago.. And though we've thankfully scaled back the production of Nuclear Arms in the United States we've increased the number of ways to identify and detect them.

We'd know about a North Korean nuke the second it got over Japanese airspace if not before and either we, the Japanese, The Chinese, or the Russians would shoot it down over an empty section of the Pacific.

So, in this case, we'd not have world war 3 we would have North Korea vs.-

The United States and her allies - The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, and Russia (if the Russians are up for it.)

China- North Korea just endangered them and attacked their #1 debtor and frenemy.

Japan- a Nuke just fucking got launched over their heads and the Japanese for some reason hate nuclear weaponry.

As well as any nations in South America that felt threatened that a nuclear bomb was shot at their hemisphere.

If North Korea launched a nuke at us, the conflict would end quicker than the Falklands War and would most likely result in what is now North Korea being divided between China and South Korea (afterwards simply Korea).

It's stupid because the guy hasn't done anything, and just because this idiot is trying to be like his father, trying to be all threatening, the guy cannot do anything. China wouldn't allow them to do anything to us, because what Coltess said pretty much is everything I have to say about that whole thing. The guy wants us to talk to him, that's what he told Rodman, he wants to talk, okay, so we'll talk. If talking is what's going to make things better, that's a heck of a better option to pick rather than believing the worse will come from this guy and his army that we have to rely on dropping a nuclear warhead on them, wiping not just the army, but also innocent people. The world we live in is much different than when we dropped the first nuke. There was a lot of other things happening, and I'm fairly certain that if we went ahead and drop a nuke, that's supposed to make everything okee-dokee and people will leave us alone? Hell no, that wouldn't make things better, and I definitely know that people will certainly not leave us alone because then China is going to interfere with that, and a heck of a lot of other countries.

Kim Jong-nam took to the good life outside of North Korea. Taking to modern fashion and things like Disneyworld; totally abandoning any desire to rule.

Kim Jong-chul didn't like his father, advocated peace, loved American music and was rumored to be a homosexual. No peacenick queero-sexual can be the Glorious-leader! No Way!

So that left little Kim Jong-un, whose childhood was spent without the notion that he must become the leader. So when it fell to him; he who had lived a life of ease- driving a Mercedez at 7, drinking alcohol at 12, and realizing at 18 that the average Joe didn't own a Jet Ski- he had to assume the role, man-up and be like daddy.
