That's an interesting way to think about things. I have always felt like the acceptance of the homosexual community has been ... a work in progress for the past hundred years or more. But the way you write about it, it's like ... homosexual couples will only now start appearing in public together? I guess, I mean I'm writing from the perspective of a liberal NYC person, and maybe you're writing as the perspective of someone else, but ... I don't know.

Well I'm including my one perspective but also trying to see this whole situation in a larger scale here also. You see homosexual couples all the time, especially in New York, but the idea of being a customary cultural norm of having the same sex be together in marriage without any awkwardness by other individuals is going to have a transitioning period before it is accepted with absolutely no back thought to it at all. I mean look at where we came from 50 years ago, we just broke through the color barrier and fortunately I grew up in an era where being with people of different color was something natural to me, but the generations before had a transitioning period where it developed to that point. I look at this whole situation in a very optimistic and accepting way, i don't want to confuse anybody with what i'm saying but I do support gay marriage and I hope to see a day where society in all forms does not shun the gay community or any forms of people for that matter. For thousands of years tradition has made sexual practice with the same sex a cultural taboo and a lot of families were raised with different perspectives and ethics, passing the law on gay marriage is a huge barrier that was recently broken but there's still much more to be done, the progress should not just stop there, and being able to see a day where people of all types of creeds can live in harmony is not going to happen without the efforts of our generation to shape the paradigm of tomorrow for our children and the future generations.

There will be less transition than you magnify. Unless you spend your day working in a court house. Then maybe for yourself there will be more adjustment. Providing you work in an area near the bursar's office. And that there is a large percentage of homosexuals who need a marriage license. Cause, you know, no law can impose ceremonial marriage to a religious organization. Oh, and marriage isn't legal until you file the paperwork at the county clerk's office.
So, really, within a very narrow band, you may even notice a difference!
In reality, your adjustment is horseshit.
