I dunno... this is gonna sound odd, but I think Rude Boy was overrated. It was a great song and all, but unlike her previous releases, I got over it really quick. Which is odd for RiRi. I actually change the station when its on now - i really dont like it any more. No idea how it became her 2nd most successful single ever, yet gems like Russian Roulette and If I Never See Your Face Again comparitively bombed.

Here's hoping Rockstar bombs so she can rush release Fire Bomb! :D

The thing with pop music is that it does not (nor should it) have to be composed intricately with stellar vocals or anything - so long as it appeals to the ear, thats what matters. Rude Boy is amazingly catchy, the lyrics are very tongue-in-cheek and Rihanna's voice sounds good too. Whether or not everyone agrees, it got to number one in many countries for a number of weeks. That means that it did appeal to a wide range of listeners, and is in fact a incredible (not just good) song.

Calm down, its just a song lol. Everyone has their own opinion - yours is different and mine is different, who cares?

If music appeals to at least someone, you can't say its awful. You might not like it, but that doesnt mean that its bad. Others might think its the best song ever. Its all subjective.

But saying repetition = no talent is about the silliest thing I've ever heard. I mean look at this...

To be the best musician ever, one must make great music, great lyrics and play many instruments better than anyone else.
