In MY attempt to NOT get it closed, my answer is XBOX 2 (IMO), and I'll just leave it at that

Xbox is more powerful than PS 2 right now. So what makes you think Xbox 2 won't outpower PS 3? So I say Xbox 2 no doubt.

PS3! I think the graphics will be the same and I don't like any of the X-Box games... X-Box's games are either the same as the PS2's or they are not cool ( at least I didn't like any)

Who knows, details about both are few, I agree that X-Box was superior in graphics to the PS2 because Sony sacrified a better system for a head start, which seems to have worked.

X-Box seems to have all the technology being made by Microsoft and all.

Being a PS2 owner I'll say X-Box 2 is likely to have better graphics and system in general, but as proven with the PS2 and X-Box this isn't enough to get the sales.

It's pretty much up in the air right now. Both Microsoft and Sony have announced recently that they plan to display their systems at E3 next year. Nintendo has also come forward.

Details are scarce. The XBOX2 has said to be releasing in Fall of 2005. Annoucned at E3 and releasing months after. Soon after that, "insiders" and "developers close to the system" have said that it would be very strange if it didn't release in this time window.

The specs, while I don't know them offhand, are based on the PowerPC architecture. That's the Mac G5 for those who don't know. The first dev stations released for the XBox2 were actually Macs with X2 emulators installed. No joke, although kindof ironic.

The Nintendo "Revolution" has been said to have roughly around the same specs as the XBox 2. It is said to also be based on the PowerPC. Other than that, Nintendo hasn't said much. Only that you should/will be surprised.

The PS3...

The PS3 is going to be based on "Cell," a new generation of processors developed by a few companies. (IBM and Sony, respectively) Its said that they're attempting ot break the micron barrier, allowing faster process, etc. It sounds great, IN theory. As for power, who knows?

Ontop of that, they're using the PS3 as a testbed for Blu-Ray, a Sony Developed Next-Gen DVD Rom. They carry 25GB/50GB for a single/dual layer disk. It allows for HD levels of video to be encoded, at the very least.

Interesting note: Sony recently started releasing Dev Kits to developers for the PS3. They overheated. They were actually melting. The few developers that continued to use them had to put them inside a refridgerated case.

Just some facts about various stuff. As for my console of choice in the Next-Gen? I'm impartial.

MORE POWER-XBOX 2(no doubt) it will probably take a lot of volts to power, and will probably have a very powerful processor(from blueprints, maybe more than one processor)

I'd say Xbox 2, judging by some of the blueprints that were released.

Dual or Triple (I forgot) 3.5ghz Pentium 4 Processor's would outclass Sony's hardware, I think, but oh well, I'll get both ultimately. :D

I think Xbox 2. I'll leave it at that. But I'm getting both anyway.

I look more toward the games when I buy systems. Xbox 2 will probably be more powerful, but I'm getting a PS3 and Revolution.

Wow some ppl really are stupid IMO Just because they think because Xbox is better then PS2 so thats how its always gonna be. Well I believe sony this time will want to get back to the top console so they probably will Be #1 IMO the PS3 will be the better one IMO.
