Anyway, I still don't think I understand why people here lose their minds irrationally against people who they have never met and probably will never meet. I personally could care less, I just take a nonchalant attitude to anything anyone says on here, but like I said its funny to see the irrational arguments which occur.

Hey I'm all for a peaceful, and laidback environment but like MKS pointed out: there are always going to be a handful of morons to ruin everything. And After being here for so long some of us tend to become very cynical and lash out every so often.

I never argue on the internet for any reason or subject. Its just a huge waste of time, what do you gain it if you win or loose?

I could just get up from my computer chair and actually do something out there thats actually worth a damn.

It's not just stupidity, or ignorance, or even rude assholes. The fact is that MKO is a very tightly knit community. Most faces are either your friends, your enemies, or just plain familiar. Not many users who've been here a decent amount of time get lost in the mix. They may not all be popular, but none of them are strange faces.

And when people have no reguard for the community, show no respect for basic ettiquet which keeps this place strong, and completely blow off any sort of order which keeps this place going... that's when the big shit happens. All it takes is for one person to pull some bullshit, and everyone will respond with their take on it, and in most cases, the fire will fuel on until the thread is closed. Whatever negative tensions were born in that thread will spill into another. It's all a fucked up game of pinball.

Look at the politeness thread. One person said some stupid bullshit, and it turned into page after page of flaming conversation. And it doesn't even have to be users, it can be something as simple as a topic. The disagreements form tensions, and it only takes one flame to turn the whole thread into fifty pages of shit.

Remember, at this website, everyone has a cause to defend. And that's good. I can't respect anyone who doesn't have anything worth fighting for. But it really doesn't have anything to do with opinions, because opinions are only the icing on the cake. The foundation is layed out when people charge into the community ignorant of all the rules and couldn't give a shit at all about the community or the people in it.

I want more peace too. I hope it doesn't seem that I'm at the core to most of the arguements here, I just get annoyed at alot of the ignorance or disrespect in some of these threads, so i give my opinion.

I think there are also plenty of mature people in this forum to control the heat a bit. I know there is a point to voicing opinions, but flaming and swearing isn't that great!

I want to help calm things down a little.

(laughs alittle) ahem...I apologize if I lead you to believe I am an advocate for peace in any way, shape or form. Keep in mind that I find the flame wars amusing, and there is nothing quite like laughing at some stupid shit that others find necessary to fight over. I'm just interested in knowing why you guys start or get lured into these heated arguments. Peace can be your department I seek to make no crusade, I'm just interested in the why.
