- X-MEN: APOCALYPSE | Official Trailer [YouTube]
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

- Artist Reveals Unused Apocalypse Design, Heavily Inspired by the Comics
Ironhead Studio -- the costume design company headed by superhero movie artist extraordinaire Jose Fernandez -- stopped by Monsterpalooza 2016, in the company's first-ever convention appearance, to discuss the various helmets and suits they've made, in addition to showing off an unused Apocalypse design that successfully rips the character right from the comics.
Ugh. That looks pretty good! Another pic in the article shows a close-up of the face.

Saw the film last night. Had a blast, it's great. I have no idea what the critics are on about.
If you're a fan of the comics, be warned: like all previous films, it deviates from the source material greatly. That's just the way it's always been with the X-Men, and even though I'm a huge fan of the comics, as long as the films are good and stay true to the X-Spirit, I'm fine with it. Having said that, Jubilee is pretty much NOT in the movie, I have no idea why they even cast an actress and called the character Jubilee. Psylocke is borderline useless. And yes, the film takes it's sweet time getting there, but once it does it kicks ass.
Please go see it.

Spot on, thought the movie was excellent myself. No idea why the critics are hating it.
List of awesome moments:
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
When Jean starts walking on air and the music starts preparing for something epic. It's amazing.
When Magneto makes the steel X in front of Apocalypse to signal his betrayal. Too awesome.
Quicksilver's scenes.
Wolverine in the Weapon X gear.
Final scene in the Danger Room. The soundtrack in this movie is amazing, and to have the theme pumping while the new X-Men get ready to fight sentinels in their new costumes is just sweet as hell.

Movie was good shit. Only real problem is the "hero" shit but, ehhh. Was useless any way. Dumb kill, Jim is there. CGI was ehh near end. Sliver speak up. Winterfell still hot and kicking arse.
7/10
Deadpool was right tho....timelines are fucking hard to keep track of, sinister shit.

- Fox's X-Men Issues: Jennifer Lawrence Unsigned, 'Deadpool' Defections, 'Gambit' on Hold
Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer, earned $544 million worldwide, a sharp drop from the $748 million made by previous entry X-Men: Days of Future Past. What's more, stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult have come to the end of their three-picture contracts. If new studio chairman Stacey Snider wants them to return, they won't come cheap.
Elsewhere, the reset button has been pressed. Sources say the flagship series will be reconfigured, with Simon Kinberg, overseer of the franchise as producer and writer, working on a new script. Singer, who directed four X-Men movies, will not be returning, according to insiders, but the script is being written with Lawrence, Fassbender and McAvoy optimistically in mind.
I don't know if you pin the big picture restructure solely on Apocalypse, but I think it's been the death knell of Singer. Not sure if that's the good thing it should be. With everyone shooting for the Marvel/Disney method, new directors may not be the injection of fresh talent Matthew Vaughn was. It's hard to sense how much Kinberg sees himself steering things as the new linchpin.
