They should make it like X-factor in MvC3. Like you could do 1 clash per entire match.

Gets you out off a combo and a limited damage buff.

I do hope they have a combo breaker system of some kind though no matter what.

So it is still there, but there's no wager system?
I thought it sounded awesome, so I would be sad to see it be thrown out the window. It was more because of the clash cinematics that collided with the rest of the arena I thought was awesome, so I don't mind if it is only the whole wagering thing that's getting thrown away.

Yeah, I agree with Jaded. I liked the clash concept, but if the wager system is gone I wouldn't really care. I just like me some clashing.

I hope it doesn't get scraped entirely. I mean, each character had different dialogue with each character. That's a lot of work to just scrap.

Plus it is a pretty cool concept in itself.

I'd love to see it stay in, but I wasn't sold on the whole 'wager' thing. How about this: both players have to press 1 of the 4 face buttons during the intro of the clash (when the characters are speaking). The defender has to guess which button the person who activated the clash pressed. So basically the defender has a 1/4 chance he's able to come out unscathed. It kinda works like MK's X-Rays, except here there's a chance to nullify the attack (similar to breaking aerial assists in MvC3).

Just thinking out loud here. smile

They said they'd get rid of it but may keep the character specific dialog and attacks. I'm down.

Why not keep wagering the super meter in? Without that,it'd just be a cinematic attack, like the supers .confused

If players in the same room can see how much the opponent is wagering just by looking at their oponents pressing on their control pads...doesnt that ruin it. Am I making sense?

I suppose, but the wagering aspect of it is"am i really willing to use my whole super bar and win the wager,or not us much and lose the wager,i'll lose health sure but i can save my super meter for my super attack." That's how i see it.
