Batman universe is the only thing tha is keeping DC alive for me and I am pretty sure that I read that plenty of times on the net.

Green Lantern is decent but that's about it.

I'll be honest, the characters from the 'Bat-family' are the ones I am most familiar with. Having said that, just because there may be an abundance of bat folk doesn't increase my desire to purchase the game.

Part of the fun is getting to know characters I knew little to nothing about beforehand, and hopefully we'll get a well rounded cast.

First, her movements look a bit clunky, stiff almost. Nightwing looks more agile, really she should be a lot more fluid and faster than him.

Second, a corset? Seriously? It looks a bit out of place on her costume and she'd probably look a lot better if her catsuit just had a subtle pattern where the stomach was and a zipper, but it's a unique look (albeit strange)

Third, her features are a bit underwhelming. There's not even a hint of make up on her lips, or eyeshadow, something to suggest she's quite feminine and alluring. I'm not too sure if that's Grey DeLisle voicing her, by the sounds of it she sounds like she has her voice actress back from MKvsDC.

Fourth, I love the B:TAS referrence having Isis in her entry and win pose!! The boots with the claws on the front look cool too, and I like the fact she's got a backpack (because it never made sense to me how she managed to hide the goods she stole in a skin tight catsuit). Her combos look pretty inventive and I'm glad to see her included!

I personally don't mind if more Batman characters appear on the Roster, in fact I'd love to see Huntress or even Killer Croc show up. Let's be honest, his villains are the most interesting, I can't even name any of the Flash's or WonderWoman's enemies yet I could name plenty of memorable Batman villains. You really can't have DC brawlers like this and not expect Catwoman, she's an institution in the comic book world and millions of people across the world know who she is. She's bound to show up, and I welcome her arrival.

Even? So for every 3 Batman characters, we need 3 characters from Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aqua Man, Teen Titans, Justice League...

Ok, here's your roster:

1. Batman
2. Joker
3. Catwoman
4. Superman
5. Lex Luthor
6. Brainiac
7. Green Lantern
8. Sinestro
9. Black Hand
10. Aqua Man
11. Black Mantra
12. Ocean Master
13. Wonder Woman
14. Cheetah
15. Ares
16. Flash
17. Captain Cold
18. Gorilla Grodd
19. Cyborg
20. Raven
21. Slade
22. Martian Manhunter
23. Black Canary
24. Hawk Girl

Now be honest with yourself, and drop the attitude. Do you honestly think your average Joe that doesn't read comics often or at all, finds that roster exciting or appealing? Beyond 8-10 characters that are pretty well known amongst general audiences outside the comic book reader realm, how enjoyable is a game where there's only maybe 10 characters out of 24, that you want to play as? Oh, and what if you want 1 more Justice LEague member, such as Zatanna? Welp, better add 1 more to every other franchise then, bumping up the roster another 6 characters, and digging deeper to the C and D list characters from some of them.

That's cute, mock and insult the intelligence of those with a different opinion than yours. Where exactly does it say that this is supposed to be a fighting game featuring a vast variety of the DC universe? The title of the game is "Injustice: Gods Among Us". It's not DC battle royal, DC isn't even in the title. It's a game DC superheroes. Last time I checked, every character in the Batman franchise is under that branch. Did it ever occur to any of you complaining, that they wrote the story of this game, and the characters featured in here are there for a reason?

This is NOT a crossover like Marvel vs Capcom, MK vs DC, or SF X Tekken. Nor is it a mashup like Super Smash Bros or Playstation All Stars. This is a fighting game with a story and a purpose, any character in here, is supposed to serve a purpose in the story and plays a part. They didn't just say "Hey, let's put in 10 Batman characters because they are cool, and we'll just fill in the rest with random other DC characters." Like I said previously, it's not like they are putting in Batman villains such as Hugo Strange, Mad Hatter, Man-Bat, or Calandar Man, just because they want Batman characters in here. They are putting in popular well known characters that fans want. Regardless of what you think, Harley, Catwoman, Joker etc. are far more desired than Captain Cold or Gorilla Grodd. The fact that they are a part of Batman's franchise is a moot point, if people made a list of their top 20 favorite DC characters, these characters would likely make the list over many others.

Some people are just never happy. I bet if they had only had 1 Batman character, 4 Superman characters, 3 Wonder Woman characters, 4 Green Lantern characters, 4 Flash characters, 3 Aquaman characters, 5 Teen Titans, and the rest random Justice League members and villains...you wouldn't be complaining there's too many from one of the other franchise.

He's not.

People aren't really understanding that the Batman characters that they've shown only have their origins in Batman. It'd be like calling Wolverine a Hulk character. Catwoman, Nightwing, and and Harley Quinn have all evolved into their own characters separate from Batman. Especially before the new 52.

Agreed. Same with Deadpool, his origins are apart of the X-men franchise, but one wouldn't count him as an X-men character. He has his own comic series, with his own stories. He isn't just a background character or a supporting character anymore. Neither is Catwoman, Harley, or Nightwing. Catwoman has her own series, Harley is in the Suicide Squad and had her own series for years, and Nightwing as well. Just like Solomon Grundy is being perceived as a Batman character, but he's appeared in many other's comics as well, he's never been just a Batman character.

Yeah I think people need to stop perceiving Catwoman as "another bat character taking over the roster." Instead they need to realize she's freaking Catwoman. She has her own book series, and most importantly you can't make a DC fighting game without Catwoman. She is simply to big of an icon to just shove to the side.

Did they need to put Nightwing in over others? Debatable

Did they need to put Harley in? Debatable.

Did they need to put Catwoman in? Yes. Super iconic, fresh in movie goers minds, fits well in a fighting game. There are simply too many good reasons to include her in the roster.

I'm curious to see what happens when Joker is announced. A character that is loved by the vast majority will be torn to shreds, because the bat roster is too big, and that is some how make Joker a bad character now.

I just think which franchise a character is associated with should be irrelevant. All that should matter is if the character is fun to play as, and how much they add to the story. There just happens to be a lot of Batman associated characters that I would rather play as, than a less fun character just for the sake of having someone from a different franchise. It's not like Batman's franchise is outside of the DCU. The characters and villains in his franchise are just as much of a part of the DCU, so why should they be limited just because some people want variety for the sake of variety, rather than quality. If Flash had as many interesting characters, or Wonder Woman, I would be saying the exact same thing. It has nothing to do with Batman. I just want as many of the characters to be filled with good characters, no matter what number is from what franchise. People just get too hung up on who is from where, and associated with what.

Um what attitude? Where exactly did I come off as having an attitude? Anyway, I'm fine with the roster you posted. I might not know many names on that list, but this game would be an ideal way for me to learn about them. Which is why I'm ok with the list.

Please explain why you feel the Batman is shoved down your throt lol. Is it his movies that come out every 3-4 years? The Arkham games that came out 2 years apart from each other, last one being last year? Is it the random reruns of old cartoons on the hub channel? His monthly comic book release? I just don't get it guys, help me out....anyone who feels that way(obv ks is kidding) let me know, how is anyone forcing you onto any of these things, and how dods one find these to be too much too often?

Seems some people just hate whatever is enjoyed by many others.

She's necessary as far as I'm concerned. She really represents the DCAU which probably turned a generation of kids into DC fans.

Really?
It was pointed out that only popular characters should make the roster, and that Batman and his rouges gallery is more popular then every character. Also has been pointed out that if x is more well known then y, x should make the roster. Thus only A list characters should be in this game.

That makes no fucking sense , because half the roster so far aren't A listers! You telling me that Harley, Grundy, Nightwing are all A list?

I think you are missing the point I as well as others are making. I never said only Batman characters should be in this. As a diehard Batman fan, I actually wouldn't like that. I also didn't say that only A listers should be in this game.

What I said is, is that the majority of the roster, around 85%, should be well known popular characters that most casual fans would buy the game for, and then the other 15% can consist of the C and D list. There's no reason why we need 50% of the roster dedicated to random characters most of the general public has never heard of, just for the sake of variety. Just as Batman associated characters shouldn't be denied, just because they are associated to Batman. If they are a fun, interesting, and fit into the story, they shouldn't be shunned because some people hate that Batman gets more exposure than the Flash etc.

A good roster is 23 characters that are well liked or at least recognizable by most audiences, then throw in around 4 that some may not have heard of. People want to play as the people they love, and maybe give a shot to someone new, but have all those favorites to fall back on. You can't dedicate 50-75% to the Black Hands and Captain Boomerangs of the DCU, otherwise people won't be as satisfied and excited about the game.

So don't put words in my mouth or in others who have shared similar feelings, because that's not the case. I am all for having some lesser known characters, but they should only account for a small portion of the roster. Having 5-7 Batman associated characters does not make that impossible, nor should it be a bad thing. You take Batman out of this game altogether, and you are going to get a lot more hate than there would be if there's too much Batman, from 95% of the population who may be interested in a game like this.

Finally, are those characters A list?
- Harley sure is. She is one of the most popular characters in the DCU, and considering she wasn't created until the 90's animated series, that's pretty impressive.

-Nightwing is also a huge character, has his own comic series, took over as Batman for years until just recently, and you can't forget he is the original Robin. So yes, Nightwing is an A list, if not, then he's sure a B+.

-Grundy isn't the most famous of villains in the DCU(he's not even a Batman villain as some people think, he's just a main villain in the DCU who happens to be featured in Batman's comics every once in a while, as well as others) but he was part of the Legion of Doom. So I would probably rate him a B- or C+. I would almost say he represents one of the lesser known character traits, as most audiences don't know who he is compared to your Jokers and Luthors etc. So you should appreciate that he's in here, as he fits in with the less exposed characters you are trying to fight for.

**Here's info on him if you don't believe me about him not being a Batman character as some are making him out to be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Grundy_(comics)

Yes lol. There's no putting Dick Grayson's A list status in question. Harley is more arguable but between the recent Arkham games and her status in the DCAU she makes the cut.

Solomon Grundy...not so much. But he's easily recognizable from Super Friends and he had two of the best Justice League episodes.

Dick isn't A list. Hell, the "Robin" name is bigger than Dick and this coming from a huge Dick (orginal Robin/NightWing fan).

Harley also has and always be known as the Jokers hench wench/sidekick. Yes she's popular, but she's still not more more then just a sidekick.

These lies though. Dick Grayson is kind of the heart and soul of the DC universe. I mean I don't even know how to respond is to an argument about him not being A list.

Harley Quinn might be known that way to a lot of people but she's more than that. If we're talking strictly sidekick then Mercy would be a better example but Harley has broken off from the Joker more than once and seems to be quite fond of Poison Ivy. because lesbians
My point being that she's more than his sidekick but yeah people that don't keep up with the comics will only see her as that.

Solomon Grundy and his quest for pants just reminded me that Braniac is probably guaranteed a spot in this game.

Also now that I can get a good look at Catwoman's costume and I can say that it is freaking terrible. WHY!? HOW!? How do you fuck up Catwoman.
