Catwoman is gonna be a beast in this game, them combos looks great and fun as hell.

I've seen people on other sites complaining about ton many Batman characters in this game but people really need to calm down lol I understand that you don't want a ton of Batman's allies and villains in this game but trust me on this, Injustice will have other heroes and villains outside of Batman's family, characters like Aquaman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Shazam/Captain Marvel, Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, Gorilla Grodd, Black Manta, Sinestro, Cheetah and Captain Cold. But I'm pretty sure we might get some more Bat-Villains like The Joker, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and The Scarecrow.

Personally I think the Joker shouldnt be playable. He's never been known as a "brawling" villan. Yes I know he can fight, but there are other dc characters that would be a better fit.

Well nearly the entire Marvel side can qualify as Avengers characters

Complaints about the Batman characters are unwarranted. Most of them stand on their own without Batman and really shouldn't be tied to him so closely.

So I guess this makes it official. Batman Characters are the new Ninjas.

It's a 24-28 size roster, right? So far, 4 of them are from the Batman franchise. That makes room for ALOT of other DCU characters that aren't from Batman. Don't get your panties in a twist.

If it weren't for the Batman characters, I wouldn't even consider buying this game though, but that's just my personal opinion. The more Batman characters that are added, the more I like the game. ^^

I'm with KcinTnarg, Oracle, and Jaded-Raven on this one. I still think those exact characters from KcinTnarg's list ALL stand a very good chances: Bane, Joker, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, and Killer Croc for more than one reason each; I'd also add Ra's Al Ghul even though he's not my top pick but I can see him playing a major role in the storyline along with his Lazarus Pits.

We'll have plenty of characters beyond the Bat-Universe, as well as DLC. They havn't said ANYTHING about extra hidden characters that you must unlock within the game, so there could be additions/changes to the selection screen.

I do believe that the Joker is fixing to get revealed with a Bat-related stage though; I think that's why they revealed her right now and will show him tomorrow or the next day. They did say that within time, stages will be shown just like the characters and will be timed precisely with them and bits of the storyline as well. So don't expect Aquaman's Atlantis Stage before his reveal, many characters will coincide with specific stages.

I don't know if I've just not noticed this or if someone else has, but WHO is that standing on the ball in the background of the stage at exactly 0:47. The same stage is shown without that person, I can't blow up the picture either to tell, and the internet is VERY slow for me this morning.

Anyone know who that is, or did I just discover something/someone new? Or is that some statue that has all of a sudden just decided to appear?

So if Batman has 4 characters, then Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Wonder Woman should get at least 4 characters from their universes as well.

If they have the ENTIRE DC Universe to work with, why settle for Batman? I know he's the most popular character but still... This game could be a great way to introduce casuals to people not so popular in the DC Universe.

Sidenote: I know this is a bit of an unrealistic request but this game could use some Rorshach!

Anyhoo, watching the video, Catwoman seems to have one hell of a fighting style. It's quick, flexible, and has pop-ups, which I LOVE!

I can tell she's going to be fun.

I am really loving the costumes they are able to give these characters this time around as opposed to the terribly rendered Alex Ross basic costumes from MK vs DC.

Not that big of a shock that she is in. I'm expecting to see everyone from MK vs DC brought back for this game.

Its understandable that there is more "Batman" characters than anything else. Batman is the only DC franchise to be managed half decently.

Batman and Superman deserve the most characters because they are the most popular and have the best rogues gallery. I can't think of any Wonder Woman villain I'd like to play as, can you?

Can anyone honestly say they'd rather play as Captain Boomerang over Catwoman?

I'm sure WW and The Flash have better villains. Now I personally don't know squat about DC so I can't think of any. But I'm sure there are more interesting characters they could use.

Cheetah is a well known Wonder Woman character. Also to be blunt, Cheetah is a better character then Catwoman, and is more tailer made for a fighting game. I know Batman is popular and all, but like many have said, I fear that this game will be too Batfamily heavy. It would be nice to see other character get a chance to shine. I just hope Catwoman is indeed the last Bat character.

The point is, who really wants to play as C and D list superheroes, when they can play as primarily A and B list ones. Beyond extreme diehard comic book fans, who would pick those less popular characters over more iconic characters? Just because they come from the same franchise, doesn't mean they shouldn't be considered. It's not like they are sticking in Calendar Man or Man-Bat over these other lesser known characters, they are putting in very popular characters, many of which you would find on top 10 favorite heroes/villains lists from the majority of people who would be interested in a game like this. Limiting the Batman related characters is essentially limiting the amount of people this appeals to. Who's going to get more people buying this game, Catwoman or Cheetah?

You say you are sure there's better villains in the Wonder Woman and Flash franchises, but there's really not. Flash has a couple contenders to make the cut, and Wonder Woman really doesn't have anyone that comes to mind. Same goes for many of the characters in the DCUniverse. If you can't even name some characters, being a casual fan, that proves the point that they need at least the majority of characters to be people you know and can get excited about enough to buy the game. As Subman said, beyond Batman and Superman characters/villains, there's not really a whole lot of other characters to include that people would prefer to play as. You will get your Green Lantern, Aquaman, Cyborg, WW, MArtian Mahunter etc. The A listers and B listers....but to expect some guys that the majority don't even know to dominate this roster, you just don't understand how to market a game right. You will get a couple C listers and maybe a D lister, but to expect any more isn't realistic. They want to include people that people will actually want to use, as well as who fits in the story and can sell the game.

I have to agree, Catwoman definitely will sell better than Cheetah, it's 100% true. Wonder Woman no longer needs Cheetah with Catwoman present, not saying she won't be included or isn't at all popular, but Circe is about that only one to fit those shoes; and her main power transforms people into animals so I DOUBT we'll see her because of that, unless they totally ruin her character and go cheap. I don't feel Ares even being a mere NRS thought. Flash definitely has some guys to chose from: Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, and Gorilla Grodd would all fit in well; even Captain Boomerang but we don't need anymore projectile spammers; play SF4 for that. Green Lantern's already got a villain representative with Solomon Grundy so he might get either: Sinestro, Star Sapphire, and/or Atrocitus; I wouldn't put too much faith into anyone else beyond those 3. Aquaman apparently would have either Black Manta or Despero for an enemy; Despero has been done before with the old SNES game but Black Manta seems to fit this style much better; yet both are highly welcomed. Of course we got Martain Manhunter, Black Canary, Green Arrow, and Deathstroke; which are all kinda on their own/together/all-around and will more than likely ALL be presented. Not including the odd characters, that leaves Superman and his people/villains. It's obvious that Luthor will play some kind of role, Doomsday is acknowledged so he's probably a boss character, with Darkseid probably around the corner controlling his Apokolips base.

Most could figure out at least 1/2 the roster from the beginning; I think we ALL knew Catwoman/Joker were to both be included.

It should just be a Batman fighting game.

I hope The Joker is in then thats it for Batman Characters. Because i really want Zatanna, Black Canary, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Captain Marvel and Martian Manhunter to make the list.

I just want the roster to be even. I don't want one character's universe dominating the roster.
