Well, coming from a company that has clearly made only one game throughout it's 20+ year span, it's no surprise that people would be asking for Mortal Kombat stuff.

Now that it looks like Joker is confirm... let get Poison Ivy in there next
Seeing the gameplay got me excited. I'm a big comics fan so this is good stuff.
I'm a little shocked to see Wonder Woman using her sword and shield though, I was expecting her to play more similarly to Superman but this is good too I guess.

Okay, the fact that Superman's intro is walking out as Clark Kent and taking off his glasses and ripping open his shirt all classic Christopher Reeve-style is winning me over a little bit...

The Wonder Woman intro and victory pose are doing the same to me.

I do dig the Amazon soldiers posing symmetrically behind her in what I'm assuming is her win pose.

That was definitely a wonderful surprise.

Haha for some reason I halfway expected the Flash to say "I make this look easy." during his intro, if that was his intro.

It probably was and me too.
I'm really happy to see them working on an all-DC fighting game. I mean, I like MK (obviously), but I'm kinda glad they decided to go with DC this time. The last thing we need is a new MK game every 2 years. Quality over quantity, I say.
I didn't use to be a DC fan (other than the Batman stuff), but since I've started reading the New 52, I've really come to appreciate that universe and its characters.
And I'd also like to add that I'm really loving the outfits NRS has come up with.

If you like the New 52, you'd like the old continuity a LOT more! :)
So has it been confirmed whether or not the supermoves are finishers, like fatalities, or are super-moves, like X-rays?

Well, I've always had an interest in comic books and superheroes, but I haven't really gotten into reading them. When DC launched the New 52, it seemed like the perfect time to start (which I think is a major reason they did the reboot, to get people like me to start reading). I don't really see any point in reading stuff from the old continuity, since none of that really matters anymore. That way, I also cannot be disappointed by changes made to characters from the old to the new continuity.
And I'm kinda glad to see that NRS is adopting the New 52 look for Superman's costume (although it looks more like the Earth 2 version). I like his new outfit a whole lot more than the one with the red underwear.

It may seem like none of the old stories are worth reading, but think again! Sinestro Corps War, Batman RIP, Final Crisis, Blackest Night, Infinite Crisis, and 52 are all fantastic stories that you shouldn't be afraid to try. They don't require that much old cannon knowledge to be able to understand whats going on. (btw all Green Lantern and Batman continuity is crossed over from old continuity, so their old stories matter).

Yeah, Green Lantern and Batman didn't actually change in the reboot, all their old stories still count, you have to go way back to, like, 2005 to catch up on where the current GL storyline started because it's all been one huge epic building and building for years and they didn't want to toss it all out before it was done.
Also, if you're getting into DC now, I think you'd like some of the old continuity stories just because the characters were better written, and some really good ones have been entirely erased.
For instance, nu52 Green Arrow is horrible. If anyone EVER asked me for a Green Arrow story recommendation, the ONLY title I'd EVER tell them is "Quiver" by Kevin Smith, which is years and years old. A lot of Superman's best stories are from the 90's too, like the Death and Return, or were never in continuity to start with like All-Star Superman.
The Teen Titans characters are currently completely unreadable as well. Just hideous art and really confusing plotting...and to be fair, the Titans sucked for like a decade prior to the reboot too, so I'd have to be like "Read some stuff from the 80's or just skip the comic versions of the characters altogether and watch the cartoon because they're better in that anyway."

Adults are the only audience for comics these days. Children and teenagers wouldn't know where to find them since they're only sold in specific comic book stores now as opposed to newsstands and supermarkets...although I guess big bookstores like Barnes and Noble do carry graphic novels and trade paperback collections. Not to mention at 3 to 4 bucks an issue, it's too expensive a hobby for a kid with just an allowance.

Do you live in a bubble or has the internet just blinded you to the ordinary consumer market?
In my city, comics are still sold in big book stores, target, walmart, drug stores, ma and pa convenient stores, newssstands, etc. Even some of our groceries stores have them. Basically, anywhere you can buy a magazine, you can probably find at least one or two major marvel and dc labels, even more so now that the movies and cartoons are everywhere. And they are always right next to the bubble gum, yugioh cards, 1 dollar squirt guns, and 20 oz juice machines so you know they're aimed at kids and teens.
And I live in Cleveland, Ohio which ain't no sprawling metropolis. I'm SURE in a real big city you can't go too far without tripping over a real legitimate comic shop. You think Teen Titans and X-Academy are made for adults?
