Checked out Inustice. Surprised by how different from MK it feels. It's back to block! Seems pretty interesting. Need For Speed next.

I understand. It's just, that's wierd. Well, there must be something special in replacement of the block button.

Or maybe they are just trying to further separate this game from MK. Which is a good thing if you ask me.

I'm thinking that either they ran out of buttons to place the block button in or they think it would be strategically better if blocking is performed by pushing backwards like in many other fighting games, such as Tekken and Street Fighter. Maybe they just wanted to try something new. Either way, since I also play fighting games with push-back-blocking, I don't mind it at all.

Interesting. Can't say I like holding back to block.
I usually forget, and end up taking a beating.

Nonetheless, interesting.

I usually forget to press the block button. Especially when switching between fighting games. Many a Soul Calibur match has been lost because of that damn block button.

Do projectiles cancel each other too?

Oh great. I hate that style of blocking. If you don't have button for blocking, I am most likely not going to use it. Guess I shall learn to rush and pumble peeps in this game.

Upside, I know people have this same problem. Makes them very vulnerable to tons of attacks and beatings.

Can't say I'm a fan of holding back to block. Hopefully I can customize the controls to make it R2.

So this means you can't walk backwards? Only back dash?

Of course you'll be able to walk backwards. I'm guessing you haven't played Street Fighter or any other games with that type of blocking? You only stop moving the moment an attack is going to hit.

I'm all for holding back to block. After countless hours of Street Fighter, it feels more natural to me than the block button. I just hope they'll greatly reduce the chip damage, compared to MK.

Almost every other fighting game besides MK uses back for block. I am used to it in SF and tekken, but I still hope there is a customization for controls to map block to a button.

Since they're gonna use the back button for blocking does that mean they're gonna incorporate a 6 button attack scheme like Street Fighter? Like 3 punches and 3 kicks? That would make sense I guess. I don't know, I'm not really digging this. I always preferred it in games to have specific buttons for specific actions unless its absolutely necessary not to.

I'm gonna have to get used to this. I have played some Street Fighter, so holding back to block is not completely alien to me.
