Hi i am new in this Forum but i surely watch SMALLVILLE i had watch the last season which is 4th, it was pretty good. I can wate for the 5th Season to come.

I saw a preview of Superman at the movies the other day. The movies looks good.
I think the guy that plays Superman looks good. He might be better than Tom Welling, maybe that's why he got the part for it. He looks good too. :P I still like Tom Welling though. lol

I saw an extended preview for Superman Returns last night when I went to see X-men, which is a good movie, btw, but that's for another thread, any way, the movie looks badass!!

I want to say this Lana Character is not working in SMALLVILLE i only liked he when she was Posits by a witch. Her roll was shining then but i hate stupid girls. One thing for sure i know many thing about Superman now after watching SMALLVILLE.

Great to see this thread again. I'm still kind of pissed I missed the season finale because I was watching hockey.

As for the the new Superman movie I really don't have mcuh interest in it. I mean the actor they got really doens't fit the suit at all. It looks like there trying to remake the first Superman movie with going as far as using sound clips from Brandos perforance in the first few movies. it ust doesn't really do it for me. I'd rather have seen either actors for the the show, or actors who look similar, but more maturer. I think that owuld have helped the film alittle better. I mean if they went with Tom Wells they cold have gone with a hair style similar to Return of Superman comics to make him look older.

It's funny you mention that because when the announcement first happened that there was a new Superman movie coming out, MOST fans assumed it was going to be Welling, I wished they would have got him too.

So, when they announced it being a different actor, a lot were pissed because Welling plays Superman so well.

Singer said this when asked"Tom does a great job at what he does, and plays Superman well, however I wanted more of a Superman rather then a Superboy"

Welling, I think is like 24 -26 range I believe.The other guy can't be that much older if he is.I'll go check though now that you mention that site.

Your right I totally agree. I rember reading it myslef as well. Roth doesn't look older than Wells. And I don't think he prepared for the role properly as well. I mean they gave him the part because when he audition he put of picture of him in a Sumerman getup on his website *with glasses, and the ripping his suit shirt off). Which actualy looked pretty shitty IMO, but apperently it was enough to impres people to hire him for the role. I mean take a look a Christian Bale for Batman. He bulked up, and filled the suit pretty nicely, Roth didn't. Even if they didn't go with Wells like alot of people wanted I would have rather settled for an actor who can atleast fill the suit properly.

I think they only reason why they went with Roth as well is becuase he kind of looks like Reeves a bit in the suit (kind of the kid next door look). Which worked for Reeves, and the Superman movies at the time, but I just don't think it's going to work this time. I wanted to see a phisically bigger Superman than Reeves played.

Tom Welling is older than Brandon Routh, but I think it's better off they didn't have Welling play the new Superman. I mean, it wouldn't be right if the younger version in Smallville and older version in Superman Returns (which is supposed to be like twenty years AFTER Smallville) looked exactly the same. It's good that they got a fresh new actor to play the role. And also, with the blue contacts, Routh looks alot more like Christopher Reeves than Tom Welling does.

AHH HA, so those are blue contacts indeed then.I thought I saw brown eyes on Roth when I first saw pic of him, then I saw him with Blue eyes and said wait a sec, I thought he had brown eyes.

That beats X-Men 3 easily and is surprising a lot of people who had little hope for this movie.
