Interesting episode tonight, just one question....

Martian Manhunter, one of his powers is telepathy and a mind power I believe of some sort.I'm relatively new to this character, I only read more about him since the JL cartoons.

So, I'm guessing he was aiding clark mentally, then once clark killed the phantom in that illusional world, he came about and martian manhunter said welcome back Kal-El, trapped it in that thing like Clark has only different and then flew off.

Martian Manhunter is cool, I wonder if he's aware of the others in the JL in Smallville.

I hope the next JL show, Martian Manhunter appears.I have a feeling....this way you have all 7 of them.Well, the JL members introduced in Smallville anyway.

I liked it, next week looks rather very interesting with Lois and Clark.Clark and Lana/Lex.

Clark really has to get over Lana already...Lois is right there dude, take her.

wink

Um.... there was only 6 JL members introduced in smallville including clark. The 6 were Martian Manhunter (who kinda looked like Tony Todd from FinalDestination but with hair), Green Arrow (who was the original one who formed the group suprisingly enough), Flash, Cyborg, Superman, and Aquaman. Who's the 7th person?

I know, it was under the assumption that they'll add the others eventually which they haven't yet but never say never with Smallville. The original 7 which are Superman, Batman, Wonder Women, Green Lantern, Flash and Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter. There was also Hawk man from way back who was created before Martian Manhunter was I'm pretty sure. But now in the cartoons it's hawkgirl, instead of Hawkman but the same race.

LOL, btw Martian Manhunter wasn't tony todd. The actor I mean, did look a little bit from a far but up close you can see that's not him.

If Jonn Jonn'z does appear in that second JL episode later on, that would be 6 in total so far anyway.I hope to see Batman show up personally, GL and WW I wouldn't mind missing if they don't get them in there but Batman should at some point show up IMO.smile

Still looking for a good pic MKgeek lol.

Well in the real world that was the orginal line up.But in the comic world the orginal team was Black Canary,Martian Manhunter,Aqua man,Green lantern 2(Hal Jordan),and Flash 2(Barry Allen).

Anyways i just watched Smallvile for the first time it was the episode with Krypto(god is putting him in screwing with the comics)and i think its a pretty good show.I wish it had been closer to the comic, but thats okay.My real problem was with the guy who play Lex Luthor. This guy is horrible.I mean Lex Luthor has so much agression and anger,The guy who palys him has barely any emotion,he's jsut horribel. Also there wasnt much action in the episode.Even though its a drama it should still have action if it has superman in it,is there more action in other episodes?

Yeah, In the more modern comic world of DC or later I should say that was the lineup what you said later on, not the original however(going back when the JL was first created say my fathers era which was the 50's and 60's it was just the original 7 Supes, WW, Flash, Batman, GL, Hawkman and Aquaman then came Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary. Those are the newer JL characters introduced after the original JL was introduced. Now they have JL unlimited etc with tons of new guys besides all the originals just mentioned.

As far as Smallville is concerned well it's the first time anyone has ever taken the idea of Superman before he becomes superman and the rest of the team.Although some of it is new and different from the comic, I think it's a very accurate way of portraying Clark Kent maturing into Superman, watch the show from the beginning sometime if you have the chance thru now, you'll see what I'm saying exactly. It's awesome.

Also, one thing I looked up and they also said it on that official Superman DVD that came out when Superman Returns came out called Look up in the sky, I have it.On there they tell you the entire history of Superman and they mention that in one comic, Lex and Clark/Superman knew each other as kids so Smallville is accurate as far as that concept believe it or not.

Good DVD, they tell you a lot of interesting things that make it into Smallville that most fans don't even know about.I was like ohh cool, so Clark and Lex did know of each other when they were younger at some point in the comics.

Really? You don't like Michael Rosenbaum?I must say that's a first I've heard anyone say that about Lex on Smallville, but hey it's fine dude your opinion. He's great IMO, but again you have to watch it from the beginning I would highly recommend. You see he's actually a lot darker now of late and isn't too far from becoming the official evil lex we all know and love, lex obviously was a kid like everyone else sometime. He wasn't always evil, nobody is always evil at first or angry and dark like we all know him to be as an adult. But remember this is before the future we all know. You should watch or try to watch it from the beginning and then you'll get a better idea of the concept of the whole show.I think it's the best superman TV show ever IMO.The others are the same Superman is Superman, or Superman and Lois or Lois and Clark etc.

This show is the first show to show and tell us how, why and when he becomes superman along with big hints of his destiny ahead with him saving the world among the rest of the Justice League which already introduced a few characters already hehe.I hope they introduce more characters.Rumors have it that they'll create another spinoff with JL characters.Let's hope.

I also like the whole concept with Clark and Red Kryptonite because in the comics they rarely go into lots of detail about how Superman alters in personality whenever he's on that, or it's usually just green K in Smallville you get a better idea and Superman aka Clark Kent isn't always so good when he's near Red K or other K's that exist.

Anyway, Smallville falls under the action/drama category overall for sure.Soap's don't have nearly as many fight scenes or power scenes in it as Smallville does.I say this to all because I own every season lol.I've watched every episode, I can tell you guys right now it's far from just a drama or soap opera lol.Lois and Clark however, now THAT was a soap opera or superman show for chicks as well as guys.

Smallville is a lot different if you ask me, by far.

Yup, turned the wrestling world upside down, and woke everyone up to the fact that wrestling can still be dangerous.

Smallville hopefully will be interesting tonight. Caught the replay for last week's show, and it was kinda dumb, imo.

Ehh, I liked it last week I mean.I know it wasn't the best but it did hold some importance leading to tonights and future episodes with lana and clark and all.

Anyway, tonights episode was interesting.Lana is spying on clark now lol.

Lex inviting Clark because "lana wants him there" I'm sure that's true to some degree, but you know Lex couldn't care less if he wasn't there if not for lana, he only wants him there to rub it in.

Anyway, Clowe's in trouble next week I'm sure Clark will save her but it looks crazy and lex is behind it.I read about it in next weeks TV guide.

Now, I thought I heard someone in this thread say that sometime this season one of the main characters with the exception of Lois, Lex and Clark of course will lose their memory totally.

Here's my guesses:Lionel, Clowe, Martha Kent and Lana.Has to be one of them for sure.

I doubt it'll be Martha, Lana I'll be shocked if it's her.Why do I get this bad feeling that it's going to be Clowe....

I hope it's not her assuming this rumor is even true about someone losing their memory.

Last night's episode was pretty mediocre, imo. I didn't care for the whole stalker plot thing. I will say that certain minor things about the episode, such as Lana trying to find out Clark's secret, are the finer points.

Next week's episode looks crazy and interesting, and I hope it'll be a more developmental episode in terms of the overall story for this season.

It would be a kicker if she finds out then forgets somehow shortly after lol.I mean how many people can know his secret?Know what I mean?I know once he's officially Superman the world knows but as far as CK is concerned, that's always been a secret nobody knows except for the rest of the JLU and JLA ohh yeah and lois.grin

Pete is just gone, he left the show after season 2 I believe.

Chloe is a meteor freak eh?Ironic given her Wall of Weird huh? lol

Takes one to know one, had to say it lol.

But seriously this is interesting, very lex is just turning more and more evil by the second.

Thing is she has no powers..........
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
yet

And I wonder what they will be, thing is I have a really bad feeling about this because like she said most meteor powered people either A.die at some point or B.go to bell reeve or the occassional C.which is lose their powers some how but this is rare

I hope they don't kill her off at some point that would suck.I know if she'll have powers down the line(which you have to assume will happen at some point) what they will be and what she'll do with them. Most likely use them for good.

Lana is closer and closer yet so far from the truth about secrets of both Lex and Clark lol.Funny isn't it?

No damn previews and I couldn't even get through with the chance to win a wii, ps3 and 360.Damn!!It was busy constantly lol.

If lex wants to hurt chloe, you know clark won't let that happen but we'll see.

33.1 seems to be his new obsession, man can't wait for that second JL episode hehe.Guarantee you that it'll be the season ender against Lex and his Meteor controlled freaks.Who knows, Chloe might even play a huge role as well with that.Perhaps she'll get powers at the right time?Who knows.

Smallville just got more interesting with this though if you ask me personally.

I like this episode quite a bit, unlike last week's episode.

Lex is definitely shaping up to become the Lex Luthor we're all familiar with.

The stuff with Chloe, who seemed to be a big focus of this episode, were very interesting.

I hope next week's episode will be good.

Btw, I think you'll be interested to read this if you haven't already. wink

Hmmm, awesome transcript.Man, I'm pissed there's no green light at any spinoffs....I'm really shocked actually about that considering they even said that Smallville is #1 on the CW and Heroes is doing well and the whole comic gig in general.

I hope this will change down the line, so much for any chance at a Justice League show...so bummed about this lol.

But everything else is interesting, so the Batman and WW thing and Superman or clark wearing the costume is because of rights issues with the movies....

interesting.

Supergirl?Interesting...

Now, I'm a little confused didn't someone in this thread swear there would be another JL episode down the line?Yet, they seemed "mum" or hinted that it was a one time thing with introducing characters, new ones etc.

What they should do is have the JL they showed on Smallville run into a Zoner..that would be an awesome idea if you ask me with Clark getting involved plus Lex's meteor freaks involved some how.How awesome would this be for a season finale?

Thanks for that link sub-zero7th.Lots of interesting readings in there.smile

Dude, you didn't see the "stop calling we have a winner" at the bottom of the screen when you watched it in like the middle of the show? They also did one for Supernatural also.

Prior to the show, really fast they show a commercial saying be the 11th caller and win a 360, wii and ps3.I think there's a message saying when to call then the race begins sometime during the show. When I saw that I called but it was busy already lol.Needless to say, I didn't get through for shit lol.

And they posted"Please Stop Calling, we have a winner" then it said you can try again when Supernatural comes on.

BTW for the other question, I heard from someone else in here that there was going to be a second JL episode then read it as a rumor.I wasn't 100% sure however, most of the rumors about the show wind up being true I've noticed. We'll see.

New episode on March 22nd, and it will feature two more WWE Superstars, Kane and Diva Ashley.

** The March 22nd episode of Smallville will be featuring WWE’s Ashley and Kane. It will air at 8:00 p.m. EST on the CW Network. Below is the preview for the show:

"Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) discover Titan (guest star WWE Superstar Kane), a Phantom Zoner, is the star of a secret fight club whose bloody battles to the death are broadcast on the internet. Lois (Erica Durance) smells a story and decides to investigate on her own but is captured and forced to participate in the fights with Athena (guest star WWE Diva Ashley) as her first opponent. Clark reveals his powers so he can fight Titan but is stunned when he is thrown in the ring with Lois instead."

If you remember WWE World champion Batista guest starred on this series a few months ago.
