The whole "guest character" thing is so over done now. I'm so tired of guest characters taking up slots that could be used for other characters from within the franchise that didn't get considered.

If ANY guest characters, I hope they keep it within the limits of: MK, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter, and/or Marvel.

I'd say that X-box deserves 1 extra character this time since PS has had all the fun for every game it seems like; I think that either Black Orchid and Fulgore would be perfect exclusives being Boon has hinted for a while about an interest in KI.

All systems should get 2 from each game as a Off-Disk DLC pack:

MK = Kitana and Scorpion (save the ice for Mr. Freeze - way more unique than typical Sub Zero, sorry it's true, especially after seeing what all he can do in Batman Arkham City but make him a bit faster lol)

SF = Chun Li and Akuma (even though I don't care for Akuma and would rather see Vega or Cammy, I think they both deserve the spot)

Marvel = Silver Surfer and Spider-man (I want to see what NRS could do with that board of Surfer and show Capcom how it's DONE!!!)

This could definitely satisfy fans for a while by seeing the top 4 most wanted fights of all-time!!!

I don't want third party characters. They look out of the place. some MK characters would fit, Ethan Thomas is perfect.

I sure would not be opposed to it. I'm sure there will be at least on MK character. C'mon, it's NRS. Of course there will be a guest character. And although I wouldnt mind it being scorpion, I hope it will be someone else.

I think a Sub or Scorp appearance would be cool, but that's about it. I wouldn't be disappointed either way. Perfectly happy with 100% DC, wouldn't bother me if 1 MK character was in for fun.

A character I didn't care for at all for years until the reboot was Kano. During the DC VS MK Kano seemed to fit in REALLY well in the Batverse. In fact there were a lot of characters that if you broke them down would really fit well with each other from the opposite verse. Kitana and the Amazons, Kano in the Batverse, Raiden matched with Shazam, The boy Ninjas could be from Luthor or Brainiac or even Metallo. Ice Ice everywhere. I think Frost would make a great villain for any DC character. Just saying many of the characters from each side match well with a character from the other.

But allas as we all know it will be either Scorpion OR Scorpion and Sub Zero and nobody else.

I wouldn't jump the gun, raiden has been poster boy for guest appearances. A d was originally MK poster boy. Then scorp and sub became the poster rivalry. I think we need a another original to share the limelight of popularity. Kano would be good since he made it in a batman game. Cage or Sonya would also be cool to imagine Cage v. Flash or Cage v. Joker? Sonya could (on the other hand) keep catwoman in check an can even kick wonder woman's ass also a good teammate for batman lol Idk but any MK guest is cool with me ( just not mokap or hsu Hao)

I personally hope that there won't be any MK characters guest starring at all. I want them to focus all of their energy on creating as many different DC characters as they can. If I feel the need to play as Sub-Zero or Scorpion, that's what MK9 is for.

Foolish thoughts on a KI character??? I'd say a foolish thought is to bring in characters that didn't make the MK9 cast just to piss off people that never got the chance to try that character like Fujin or Tanya that's like a slap in the face just like Capcom did with Mega Man in SFxTekken.

There are COMBO BREAKERS in this game as we were told, Boon's already acknowledged the fact he'd like to help bring KI back anyhow, and all of a sudden this DC fighting game pops up instead; I think it's a perfect idea.

No need to rehash MKvsDCU, and the fact that there's NO FINISH MOVES, even though KI did have crappy finishers they would fit better than Sub Zero/Scorpion without a finisher, I mean what's Sub Zero, Scorpion, etc without a fatality???

Same with Street Fighter, here's the chance for NRS to play around with them 1st and see what's to keep, what's not to keep.

Street Fighter and Marvel are the 2 specific games that SHOULD 1 day meet up with both DC Universe and Mortal Kombat so I'm not going to even speak on their behalf, you'd be blind to not see it; as for Killer Instinct it's the exact medium between SF and MK and like I stated for X-box it would be a perfect Exclusive since us X-box owners keep getting the boot.

I really hope there are no guest characters at all! Especially not from MK. I love MK but I want this game to stand on its own. This game would be best if it was all DC and no guests at all in my opinion. In the future though, it would be cool to Marvel vs DC. That would be a cool crossover fighter and it has never been done before! Think of the caracter matchups there could be in a game like that...

1. Their willingness to help make a new KI a possibility doesn't mean they can. They have no claim to any of that particular IP.

2. The SFxT comparison bewilders me. I don't think anyone here (including myself) were referring to console exclusive characters.

3. What do you mean people would be mad about including characters who weren't in MK9? Why?

4. My imagination has nothing to do with it. I just don't see NRS including elements outside their jurisdiction or grasp in general. Wasn't this about MK characters as guests anyway?

If you bring Freddy Kreuger into it, remember these things: He's a character owned by Time Warner. Time Warner owns New Line Cinema, in case you were going to mention that (seeing as the NMOES movies were released under that banner). WB Games? Yeah, that made him possible. I can see why you'd want it to happen. I'm personally wondering how the fuck Virtua Fighter got it's chocolate in DOA's peanut butter. Delicious!

I think both a Killer Instinct character and a character not in Mortal Kombat 9 are possible. NeRdS like to fool its fans for money with multiple and unexpected ways: 1) MK/DC* 2) Freddy Krueger 3) PS3 exclusives 4) PS Vita exclusives. "Killer Instinct" is fully possible as well because it was a successful fighting game series, it's challenging to create liked IPs – and as we know, NeRdS tend to choose the easy way out (classic skins etc.).
