For a semi-final, this is horrifically one-sided.

Yeah, this match is rather anti-climactic.

I voted bad, too. Ermac has definitely evolved from a one-note palette swap into an intriguing force thanks to his Heel Face Turn in MK:D. Shang Tsung just hasn't been the same for me since the series went (understandably) polygonal- his shape-shifting simply isn't as wicked awesome as it used to be.

But I voted Tsung because I'm sick of the finals always being ninja vs. ninja. Le sigh.

Shang gets my vote. Not that I have anything against Ermac. Mac is cool as hell, but I'm more interested in Tsung.

There's still at least 12 hours to go. Again, don't count your chickens.
I'll be reserving my jubilation until after the final bell.

On that I agree with SwingBatta... I gotta say that I love both Soul Capturers but my heart belongs to Shang Tsung the one and only Shapeshifter yet again I love Ermac <3 especially his ultimate combos

Quan Chi shape shifted as Sub-Zero when he killed Scorpion's family, so that's not true.

Why do people keep saying Ermac can steal souls? He can't. He's a compilation of souls turned into a single existence, but he's never had the power to control other people's souls and definately not steal them.

Maybe everyone gets confused between soul stealing and soul telekinesis?

Never heard anyone say that. Maybe it's just a wrong choice of words.

Sorry but FACT ; Shang Tsung can steal souls and SHAPESHIFT during the kombat I meant that not talking about Quan chi 's sorcery he is an AWESOME kombatant too.

I'm sure he didn't.
Quan doesn't have shape shifting powers.
The thing he showed to Scorpion in MK9 was all fake and made up from him, to make the ninja believe the ice warrior was responsible.
And Scorpions ending in MK9 further proved that Quan doesn't have such powers.
If he was disguised as Subby, all those ghosts of Shirai ryu warriors wouldn't know it was him now, would they.

This match is such a landslide though. If Shang had like 40% maybe I'd say there's still a chance. But Ermac has a commanding lead. And even if Shang miraculously mounted a comeback there'd still be people voting for Ermac.

Ermac's cool factor is insurmountable at this point.

Well, seeing as how I wasn't here for the 1st half of the tourney, I think the highlight for me was the Kitana upset against Scorpion. Really wasn't expecting that, honestly.

I know you're not talking to me, but the highlight for me is how this is probably the best finale I could ask for.

It's the best finale because in the first tournament, Sub-Zero won against Ermac in the final two. And it looks like that match is happening again. Red Dead Redemption. You see what I did the- Oh, of course you don't.

Scorpion losing is always a highlight. ^^

1. I think just being able to take part for the first time after having missed the previous two go-rounds. Lot of results didn't go my way but it's been fun rallying behind my fave characters. Yeah, I know this tourney isn't meant to be taken seriously (as too many have iterated) but it's all about just being in the moment.
