Some people are just too easy to please. Which is odd when thinking how critical gamers and fandoms can be.

LOL. That's not really true at all. Scorpion has more fans and is more popular than Kitana, and it's not even debatable.

Not every fan of MK visits this site to vote on a for-fun poll. What happened is many people have an "anti-ninja" stance so they vote against whatever ninja is listed. This is especially true for Scorpion. It could have been Scorpion against Meat and people would have voted for Meat out of spite for Scorpion.

People take this thing WAY too seriously. Kitana could win the entire thing, but it won't ever make her more popular than Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Noob, etc. The poll is for fun and people can vote however they want, but it has absolutely no impact on the game or a character's actual popularity.

Scorpion might have more fans than Kitana, but when Kitana fans unite with the Scorpion haters, they overwhelm the Scorpion fans. Hence why he lost.
