Not only did Erron Black kill him in the MKU, now he's about to kill him in this contest.

I have nothing against Kobra and I hope he one day returns, but I gotta go with my other favorite newcomer for MKX, Black. One of my most favorite concepts for a character in a while. I grew up watching dumb spaghetti westerns and Eastwood movies so he felt right being in the world of MK with his cool personality and his use of his six shooters. Black was a great edition to the franchise and I see him returning in the future.

I use to give Kobra flak, I'll admit, but it's died down for me and I actually respect what he's supposed to tribute. I hope he gets another chance to shine with some cool moves and a better design and personality. I have no beef with Kobra.

I didn't hate Kobra as much as others, as I think his look is alright and he's got some potential, but Erron Black is one of my favorite character designs since MK2. His Outlaw variation is my main and while he could use some more action in the next game, his background, his gameplay and everything else make him one of my favorites.

Erron Black. Kobra is one of the 3D newbies I just didn't like at all for some reason.

Upon seeing his reveal in the comics, Erron Black initially rubbed me the wrong way, far worse than Kobra ever did. It seemed pretty try-hard to me, a conscious attempt to make a cool mysterious "Boba Fett" character. I guess their attempt worked though and they managed to make a popular character.

I lightened up to him upon seeing his gameplay which is definitely stylish, though I can't really get a good grasp on it. I'm not a fan of how he plays, but his move set seems well designed so I can't complain. Unfortunately his design doesn't translate as well from paper to 3D, and I think his concept art is way better than what he actually ended up looking like. But that's usually the case. For me he's one of the weaker new characters, after Jacqui and Cassie.

Kobra's pretty cool. Solid design (particularly his alt costume), a good background story, and plenty of room to grow. I liked the simplicity of his moves and his fighting styles (Shorin Ryu and Kickboxing), and think his concepts would be easy to elaborate upon and would translate well to a new game. I hope he at least comes back as a side character, seeing what the comics have done with other Black Dragon clan members.

Guess I'm voting Kobra.

I like Erron Black and all, but c'mon, enough with the hate for the 3d characters. Sure, Kobra is probably the worst of them all, but still. The 3d era was great, I'd like to see them ALL come back (ok, maybe not Kobra )

Erron Black is one of the best new comers in MKX in my opinion. He looks cool and sounds cool.

Kobra on the other hand is extremely bland and indicitive of the era when the well of inspiration truely dried up. I honestly believe we will never see Kobra in the games ever again. A relic.

I had always hoped Kobra was Sonya Blade's alleged deceased brother "Daniel Blade" brainwashed by Kano and the black dragon.

I'd love to see them do something with the Daniel Blade bit! I'd hope he'd be cooler than Kobra, though. This isn't a bad idea by itself, leaving Kobra out of it. Could be cool for MKXI -- Cassie's uncle she never knew.

Neither was Hsu Hao vs Kenshi.

IMO, I think they should pit shitty characters against other shitty characters, so then they'd actually have a chance to get to round 2.

I do not really like Kobra, but be could be fixed. is bio said that he is bloodthirsty and always looking for kombat. It could be kinda cool to have an average person get involved just because he is bloodthirsty. I am not holding out hope though. It is pretty much guaranteed we will never see him again. No tears shed lol.

I think Erron Black is EXTREMELY overrated. And for the record he is one of my mains. I like his playstyle, but he was just a pointless lackey. Everyone was flipping out about him saying he was the best new character just because he is a cowboy. Yes, he is cool, but he is on equal grounds as Cassie and Kotal if not lower. And the worst thing about Erron are the people who are saying he is a ninja. Like WTF? Do you have any brain cells?
