The following list is based upon when everyone was booted. We can see how popular everyone was.

The Champions gain an automatic Top 16 position.

The entrants to game 15 gain an automatic Top 29 position.

The first bracket shows the characters position in the last Boot and Immune games so you can compare them. Note that those numbers are out of a minimum position of 53. The total is now 60 due to the addition of the MKD characters and removal of others due to MKD story changes. The MKD characters will obviously not have an number allocated.

The second set of brackets show the total number of points the other characters gained out of a maximum of 434 for these games. You can see how well or poorly they did, based on the number of points.

Personally, I dislike this idea a lot... all of these games would be wasted if Sub-Zero simply won again. I just don't see the point of it.

I thought a loooong time ago that it was to be like it always has been. Have a Grand Champion for every game. Then when it got up to 16 or so Grand Champions, then those 16 would face off in the Ultimate Grand Championship.

Anyway, my boy Sub already won so

That's what I assumed also. But some wanted this end, and as Crow said, everything is wasted if Shang loses.

See, I would have liked this if Subby was thrown in with the other 16 champs, and had to make his way through the grand championship game like any other guy. It would have been difficult because he would have had a big target on his back as previous champ, but at least it would have been interesting.

This final face-off round is kinda leaving me a little cold, and accentuates the idea that if Subby wins the game was wasted. I think this is causing even Sub-Zero supporters to vote for Shang instead, which is kinda making this entire round a waste of time.

I say we call this round (Tsung's ahead in the votes by a lot anyways), declare Tsung the winner, and then for next game we figure out a better way to allow a champion to defend without making the games seem like a waste of time.

Ok, this ends now! Shang Tsung is Grand Champion! Sub-Zero shall return to the games as he should and this round is void!

The Boot and Immune will return soon enough. Until then, have a good one!

Good, glad to see this round got the axe.

I personally think in the future, we should allow the grand champ into the championship round as a seventeenth character. I think it won't be too much of a problem for making the games seem like a waste because the supporters of the grand champ will have to work that much harder to get their character through, as the supporters of other characters will likely gun for that character in revenge or just to eliminate a threat. I personally think if we follow this idea Tsung isn't likely to make it past the first or second round of the next championship game, so worries about wasted games are groundless.

And if the grand champ does repeat, at least his supporters had to fight tooth and nail for it and it wasn't a complete waste of everyone's time (like this round would have been if it had been completed).

Just a suggestion. I'm just as happy to have the grand champ sit out the whole thing, I just think that part of the fun of having a title is also defending it.

maybe we should just keep collecting champions until we get to a certain number like 4-10, or until most of us have finally had it w/ this game.. then have them face off as the 1 last final, final game w/ all the grand champions... right now shang and subby are the 1st 2 in it...
