Very good foundation. Would that be based off of anything I know? wink

The jpgs seem to work when I go directly to them just not when you remotely link to them. Perhaps your provider doesn't allow that.

What do you mean based on What?

It took me like 2 1/2 hours to make this.

here is the concept art for Jade.
Made the Base model for Motaros body.

I will use this as a starting point to make a detailed body, like his head.

You could compare this to a sketch.

What happened to the other, did you have to scrap it? It was sure looking awesome.

I might still use it, but I can remodel it pretty fast so it's not a big problem.

I was just having problems modeling the Saratus muscle the mesh was getting too dense, and I didn’t like the way it was looking.

I'm doing a lot of experimenting on this model, to get the correct wire frame layout, so I have to remodel a few things a long the way.

I'm not a master at this, I'm trying to become one. smile
I'm planning out how I'm going to model the body now before I make it in 3D.

With Photoshop I drew the wire frame on to a Photo of a body builder.

See the wire plan here.
I'll use that as a step by step guide, so I cut out all the guess work.

I'll do the same thing for the side and back views, so I never have to guess again. It will be my recipe for modeling every time.

I should have done this a long time ago.

Well firstly I just want to say that it looks awesome so far and I can't wait to see the finished product. Unfortunately with you coming up with a new rendering process when that'll be is a little iffy, but you should by no means rush your work that'd just be pointless. The only thing that I see so far that I think could use some work are his eyes, I think they need to be given some more life, but you may not of even gotten onto the details yet so, until then i guess I should probably hold my critiques. Best of luck on this and the job search.
Thanks, and please critique all you want. I need to know what people think.

Everything was going fine till I hit the saratus. I just couldn't get it to look right.

But I'll try out the new technique I thought of tonight and see how it comes out.

Close up of eyes.

I see what you mean now, actually I see a lot of things that need fixing.

I'll work in them some more later on, I want to get the body done first. And actually I need to get it done as fast as possible, because It's been almost a year since I graduated, and I still haven't landed a job, it's depressing, I can't sleep at night thinking about it.

I need to impress somebody so I won't be sleeping much until I get this model finished, or I get a job. I'm 22 years old and without a job, It's embarrassing sad

I switched to a new host, you guys should be able to see the pictures now???

Impressive stuff, Bleed. I haven't really noticed this thread until now, for some reason...

I was never a fan of Motaro, but the model looks very good nonetheless. I do have some comments though. First of all, the concept of his lower abdomen/pelvis area looks sort of strange to me... It seems way too wide. The 'horse' part of Motaro's body generally looks pretty sleek and elegant, but in the front ortho drawing, it doesn't really give that impression. Maybe it's the waist and not the hip area that needs trimming, but if you follow the concept completely I think it'd look sort of strange. Just my humble opinion though.
Another thing is his head; I imagine with horns that massive, he'd need something more than a standard issue human cranium to support it. I think it would look a lot more natural if the horns weren't as "tacked on" as they look now, but more like extenstions of his skull, so to speak. Making his forehead and/or the sides of his head bulkier and making the transition between head and horns look less "sudden" would improve things, I think.
And speaking of the horns, by the way, while they look good overall, they both have some wierdness going on right in the middle. It's hard to point out where, just using words, but look carefully and you'll notice it. Apart from that, it's a great looking model so far. Looking forward to seeing it finished! :)
k thanks, yeah I see what you are talking about with the horns. I'll fix them.
