What exactly makes this "lame."? More constructive criticism would be more helpful.

Well, it doesn't really look like Johnny.

It does look kinda like the guy who plays Johnny in the Mortal Komedy series, before he got a haircut.

And that karate gi outfit 1) makes him look fat and 2) isn't something Johnny would really wear. It just doesn't fit his flashy, cocky movie star style.
The art itself isn't too bad, but the "shadows" could use a lot more detail. People who don't like the movies might be annoyed that you drew the incorrect version of the Shadow Kick anyway.

Actually I like the idea of the outfit. I don't think it's supposed to be the way Cage would want to be seen in the final battle of his latest movie, but something he'd wear during Karate training or tournaments. I don't have all the facts but I don't think they let you wear tights and huge ass belts in Karate tournaments.
And I don't think he looks fat I think he looks like he's wearing a karate gi that isn't tight.

Yeah...I'm not entirely sure where all these "fatty" comments are coming from. It's not like he has puffy cheeks. I appreciate the comments so far.
