Yes I asked him to do that.

I'm gonna try and make a full sprite sheet for a mugen character.
I'm going to work on fujin.
So far I've been using Liu Kang sprites and editing them to make new poses for special animations like this one I did yesterday. I'm still working on this one by the way.
Air running kicks The opponent would react like when they get hit by a bicycle kick.
I'll put the updates on this page as I go on.

Haha, that's pretty cool
Though there's a weird thing on Kang's feet in one or two of the frames

Yeah, I haven't finished that liu kang edit.
I still have to clean it up some more and change Liu in to Fujin.
-------------------------------------------------
I quit working on Motaro because I ran in to some problems with animation.
I have to remake parts of his body and I haven't gotten around to it.

I started making Fujin for Mugen.
So far I'm just working on the fight stance. It is NOT finished yet.
I have to make his body move and fix some errors on the cape with the shadows from his legs. I still have to add the shoulder pads. I might not though, I think he looks pretty cool without them.
I figured out a quick way to animate sprites without having to cut and paste as much.
I put the sprite in a flat plane in 3D studio max, then I cut out the shape of the sprite and animate it like I would normally animate in 3d.
that's what I did with the cape.
I had 89 frames of animation on it, but I cut it down to 9, so it works out better for mugen.
And that's easy to do also. You just render the animation and tell it how many frames per second you want it to play.
60 frames
15 frames
10 frames
whatever you want.
I'm not sure why that white dot is flashing under his arm pitt. It's not in my sprites, but it shows up there????.
I reposed the legs on this fujin in 3D. I didn't have to cut or paste, only clean up some jagged edges that show up.
This flying Knee pose was just for testing when I was figuring this stuff out. The real knee will be more dynamic looking.
To resize the custom sprites to match the size of the original sprites, I use the print screen button. If I shrink them with a tool, they don't come out as sharp. If I just zoom out to the size I want and print screen. I can paste it back in to Photoshop and then cut out the correct size sharp sprite.
I'm also using print screen to capture an image of the 3d studio max working window. The working window keeps images low res. If I render the image it comes out too blurry, but if I print screen, I can get the sharp version from the working window.
If I want to render a movie, like the cape animations. I have to use the preview render. This renders the working windows, not he regular smooth renders.
