I love how the characters look and how vibrant the colors are. great job. I do agree with you on action poses and comic strips. they are kind of hard to do. Just like the shao kahn vs. onaga I posted earlier its hard to come up with poses. anyway I can't wait to see the other characters that your working on!

Now I have to post there to explain what it's about since the guy who made the thread apparently didn't read any of my descriptions in the places I posted it, and is confused by the costume designs. Unless he got it from somewhere else, but I haven't posted it anywhere but here and DeviantArt, so I'm going to go with the "he can't read" explanation.
The fact that more than one MK message board exists is so inconvenient. Well...okay, the part about how all the newbies in the community are there instead of here is actually very convenient, that way I don't have to deal with them. But when people are posting my stuff on sites I'm not at, that's a pain in the ass because now not only do I have to deal with them, I have to log in somewhere else to do it. Somewhere that asks me my birthdate every fucking time. Why can't it just put a fucking cookie on my computer that remembers the date I used the first time?

These are freaking amazing. Can't wait to see the alternates. Also, out of curiosity I noticed that you put Reptile and Ermac(I know he was just a rumor) in your MK 1 cast but how come Jade, H. Smoke, and Noob aren't in the MK 2 cast since they were secret?

I'm disappointed that you haven't made Jade yet. I was really looking forward to it, as I think your art is awesome.

Honestly, I've been trying to spend less time thinking about Mortal Kombat lately, and find some other hobby to occupy my time. Because the more I think about the series, the harder waiting for MK9 becomes. So there's a pretty good chance I might not get back to work until the game finally releases and I get it all out of my system.

"Hmm, I'll search for alt costumes on google image search. Whoa! That's a cool pic! I think i'll just post it on this forum without reading who made it or any of its all important description."

So Jade, Smoke, Hornbuckle, Blaze, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn (with no hammer) are left. And then alt costumes

You forgot Noob Saibot, Kung Lao, and Jax.

And don't be so sure that I'd draw Kahn without the hammer. My goal is to make the costumes express a consistent timeline where the older games match up to the newer ones. There's no story reason Kahn didn't use his hammer in MK2, canonically he's always had a hammer. So the hammer goes in. I'm actually trying to figure out poses and which weapon to put with which costume, so that I can display him with ALL of his stuff: Wrath Hammer, green javelin special move, and the cool scepter he holds when he's sitting on the throne.

I also had plans for Skarlett on this roster, like I put Nimbus on the MK1 one. I'm wondering if I should hold off on that though until after the game comes out, since the version I have in my head may be radically different than the one they're designing for MK9, particularly since I even came up with a story for her.

Can you make all the girls wear Louboutins (they have red soles so its completely MK fitting) and have scorpion wear something sexy? Like what Bang wears in blazblue? Hes a ninja too.

So Noob might have his same pose as Sub-zero but might not hold a skull. Is Kung Lao gonna like have his eyes covered by the hat or shadowed by the hat? He'd look cool if you can't see his eyes

I intend to, yes. The plan is to at LEAST make it through the cast of MK4. It's really a matter of how much work I have it in me to do, though. It could take me like five years to get there at the speed I draw, lol.
Honestly, what I'd REALLY like to do is make it all the way to Armageddon, then start fan fic'ing up my own sequels and drawing the rosters of those, because I prefer the old timeline to MK9 and want to keep it going somehow.

Cool. And I did mention in another thread that even though Raiden is changing some stuff, one theory would suggest that he is altering ANOTHER universe, while the Armageddon one keeps going.

I said that alot of peopple would probably continue doing fan fic and what not.

Well my version wouldn't even have Kahn winning or killing Raiden. My idea involves Taven and Daegon killing Blaze.

Nah, seriously though. I have gotten back to drawing again. I don't know when Kung Lao or Jax will be done (hopefully Kung Lao will be soon, I did get started on him a day or two ago) but I did want to make some modifications to characters I've already done.
Specifically, I've never quite liked how I did Scorpion's shoes, and I wanna change Baraka's shirt to look more like the MK9 one 'cause I like those little skulls on his chest.
