right now your sprite is looking like a cartoon. All his arms are the same color. If you look at some other sprites, you will see that there are a variety of different shades of one color for realism. To make it even better, shadow it. Like make little dark areas and wrinkles. If you look at the sleeve on your shirt right now, you will notice how it is different shades of gray/red/ etc. according to the lighting in the room. So, apply it to your sprites. Just keep going and use other sprites for models. Like arctic, ninja mime, or k1llkano. Some people will only get you so far, including me and thunderstudent. I should know. When i first started spriting, I made a mkd liu kang where i just took a picture of liu kang and colored his skin grey with the pencilnot too impressive. And even TS started out with a shujinko in ms paint that was like pixelated to hell and with a giant grey square on it's torso, but nowadays he is doing much better. and his shujinko got better too. other paint programs might help you, but it's a long shot. As I never say, the talent comes from the man, not from the program. I use ms paint and make awesome sprites:) and as for scorpionmksm....he'll never get better

Those rock. Dagon is awesome. Mavado looks a bit cartoony, but that's just your style.


Dogpound, you need to use shading, instead of coloring stuff in 1 solid color. Look at the shading on the sprite, and match yours to it. Think of where the lighting is coming from, then lighten/darken the appropriate areas.

Um, yes you can, you just need the right patience and skill and time. I do all my sprites in paint.

Im doin it and i finnaly are adding details and it looks great to a Cage to look like Stryker from MKA. And yes just use the right colors to detail it. EDIT: Here is my stryker edit. The hair is kind of un detailed. But is he more detailed more than my other sprites? Or have i stayed the same.

I know, Paint is a good program, and people like K1LLKANO can make amazing Paint sprites. But I'm just saying that this guy isn't doing so well with the program.

The only reason why theryre not so good is cause i started only two days ago. And i cant do so well on coloring hair yellow.

Yeah there is sum stuff missing the the sticks now i remeber.
But you forgot the blue stuff on his legs and the blue you have is kind of dark
and the hair is kind of like spiky everwhere.

try a reiko one to the dageon was fine but mavado needs some work I see some flesh on his wrist band

mime, you don't give any constructive cridisisem so don't compare the work of someone who started recently to yours. he needs time and constructive words to help him improve
