He is pretty stupid and not necessarily evil, but he's the quintessential Russian-Stereotype fighting character.

It's relevant to the thread because you just spent an entire page having an argument with Mick-Lucifer over a casual one-line joke he made just because you don't like the Rocky movies. I'd just like to know why that had to happen. You're the one who used to preach in every argument "why can't we respect everybody else's opinions instead of being self-centered" and now you're doing the exact opposite.

I would rather say Dragunov from Tekken is more typical. When a character is from Russia, they're almost always some kind of military man, or if a woman, they are assassins.

Sofia from Toshinden series is one of my faves though, as she is rather attypical.

The thing was Mick-Lucifer was saying something about an evil Russian, and then called me a 10-year old for not getting his point. However, he explained to me what he meant, and because he wouldn't apologize for calling me that, I merely made a "tongue-in-the-cheek" comment back at him. There was nothing serious going on about it.

So attacking me on a personal level like that was rather rude and unnecessary of you.

Maybe you should consider how the argument looked to someone who wasn't in it. To an observer, Mick was telling a joke, and you got pissy when you didn't get it. And it's not just this thread, you've been acting weirdly dickish for a few weeks now, hence my finally speaking up. And if I sent a personal message to just you, then I wouldn't be able to find out if anyone else has noticed this personality shift. I'm asking the group a question and the question is "does anyone else think J-R has changed for the worse recently, and why do you suppose that is?"

Well, it isn't anyone else's business. People can think what they like, but that is still no excuse for you to get all personal at me like that.

However, now since we are going at a personal level - you, of all people, shouldn't call people a total ass, because you have been like that for a much longer time than I have ever been.

So you should just shut your mouth.

The moment you do something on a public message board, it becomes everyone else on that board's business. And I never said I wasn't an ass. People have asked me WHY I'm an ass all the time and I don't evade like you are, I give reasons. That's the difference: honesty. You're acting like there's no problem.

For the record, I've always thought J-R was a bit dickish, UNTIL just recently. Most of the "dickishness" is just cynicism though, and I actually find most of his replies to be quite funny. There are certainly WAY bigger dicks (please just let this phrase slide) on this site than J-R; at least he knows when to play nice, especially with the newer users.

On an unrelated note, if anyone would like to do a review of Lorsid, feel free :) I'd love some more in depth feedback. Although, I'd appreciate it if the feedback didn't include anything about her bio length....I presented her bio/ending entirely how I wanted to in order to invoke a more mysterious feel to her; I wouldn't change it for anything.

I have an idea for the next tournament.

How about just having judges vote. The voter turnout got stale really quick. It would make the tournament move faster, and it would end cheating. You could make out a scoring sheet for the judges to score the characters. It could be pretty expansive. Scoring on different aspects of the character. It could be very detailed. You could do a 1-10 scoring system. How well does a characters name fit in MK? Do the stats add up correctly(I saw some 7 foot giants weigh less than 200 lbs.)? Does the character fit in MKs universe well? And I'm sure you could get much more detailed than what I'm throwing out there. But it's just an idea.

I don't know. I'd be upset if I couldn't vote anymore. Voting, despite how low the turnout got, was one of the funnest parts of the kompetition.

And I wanted to show to you the evolution behind Ekimaru's existence (or Pyro as he was called in the beginning )

So we start off with the first original sketch I did on a train when I was 14

Now from this point on I saw jax007's mk characters doodle and I tried to better myself in the drawing compartment, as you can see his hair changed from orange to flame right here..:D And I switched to black and white ,this was about the time when I was 16
