NUBIANGREENE Wrote: well i'm a busy guy,so its more of an advice thing,i think lots of u are not reaslising what ur getting into, comic book editors look for professionals, not semi-pro not anything else other than pros, allot of the stuff i've seen in this thread isn't close, apart from the drawing for a cover i saw in the first few pages, but that style is cleary joe mad cloning, still cool. |
Well, that cover wasn't drawn by any of us, but why would we submit this to a comic book editor?
Jax007 is well i would say is pro and ready to make a comic, others i'm not so sure about,i saw a seq on here not sure whos it was,but all the characters where stiff and the panels and page layout composition where not of a high standard. . |
We all know Jax007 is the undisputed best penciller on this board, but I feel confident that with our four man team, each of us making a pass on the product will compensate for each other's imperfections. All the work you have seen so far is pre-preproduction work. i.e. earlier than alpha stage.
if u really wanna do this u have to do more research and make sure ur art is up to a professional standard, remember u'll have to contact midway in the end to actually produce the comic (u know copyrights n what not). . |
We are currently commencing plenty of preproduction research on a private board, where we don't have to deal with people that want to help but aren't dedicated or 'hope our komic sucks'. As a fan work, we are able to take as much time as is necessary to polish this endeavor, and rushing is strictly prohibited.
i'm not a pro or trying to sound big headed but i've seen tons of threads like these, that go up to even 20 or even 30 pages, and they end up going know where. . |
I can't speak for those other projects, but at least two of us are in this project for more than just the hell of it. We are both art students and intend to list this komic in our portfolios/resumes. That should put into perspective our dedication and effort.
jus giving u a heads up,glad ur liking my stuff btw,Mortal Kombat :vegeance the animated movie shud be out soon on the net . |
Have you contacted Midway for permission to produce your fanflick? As long as credit is given where due and no money is made, we are equally within our rights to create whatever we want, just like Batman: Dead End. Good luck to you; I look forward to seeing the finished work. How much is soon?
PS
If you are still interested, perhaps we can give you a peek at much more finished work at a later date.
