You're not doing anything to the renders ... they look like they're just sitting there. The backround and the text are the only things changing, redman.

THE only reason i can't make sigs like you guys, are because....
Everytime i download brushes, and i click on the files that open to GIMP, they come up to 500 x 500.
I want to learn how to get brushes that go into sig size.

This is what a lot of people do to make a sig:




Throw on a fancy backround (probably with brushes), find a nice cut&clean render, and then paste it, and throw colorful text over it. Best score? 5/10.

What you need to do is make the signature come alive, almost as a 3D perspective. You have to make it seem the render is doing just more than standing in the sig. However, lots of natural talent can just open up PS or GIMP or whatever the hell Pred uses (lol) and just make a nice ass fucking sig. Most of the time, people have to work on it, and there are all these millions of techniques and shit I've never even heard of. You want to know how to become really, REALLY awesome? Read an ASSLOAD of signature tutorials. If you don't believe me, check out Pr0d1gy's sigs nowadays. Do you SEE how good they are? Un-fucking-believably insane He and I had a signature battle (this was right after he came back from reading a lot of tutorials), and he completely obliterated me. The score was like 13-1, and I only got a vote cause HE voted for me. I was looking for some of his older stuff, but a lot of the images aren't working properly so I can't show you what his sigs use to be like. If you threw them together in a post you wouldn't believe that Pr0d made both sigs. Take a look at a bunch of the people you claim to be "sig-makers", and they'll tell you that they practiced a lot, and most have read countless tutorials. Swallow your pride, read 10 tutorials, practice them, and you'll be better. I promise.


But until then we still get to grovel and glare in disgust at some of MINION's sigs ... heh.

HA, I remember that. Honestly both of our sigs sucked. That was back when we were both n00bs at sig making.

But yeah I agree with everything you just said, theres nothing wrong with reading tuts, as long as you dont be too dependent on them and use one for every sig you make. Back when I was in the learning stages, which I still am, but I use to read alot of tuts. They teach you alot, and you have to apply what you learned, to something of your own you know what I mean? you have to come up with your own shit and style and experiement alot. Thats how you get better, practice and experiement.

Well ... the person I've mentioned that really had any importance to my post was Pr0d, and that's cause we were both new to sig making near the beginning of this year. He has bypassed me by far, but before that, both of our sigs were terrible ... and I mean terrible. I became acknowleged as a "sig" maker somehow, myseteriously, and I wanted to somehow get it through to people that I am nothing compared to Pr0d1gy, who would TOTALLY kick my ass if we ever had another signature battle. I can only see flaws and correct them. If you're saying I left you out by talking about Pred, it was because I read one of his posts on what programs he used to make sigs .... and there were many lol. I just thought I'd give him a shout-out since I am one of the rappers on his label. (lol)

I didn't mention a bunch of people because I think it's pretty obvious who the REAL sig-makers are on this site. I DO remember you Komodo, back from 2004 or somewhere around there. Your work is very good ... especially within the Vector area of signatures. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say you should definitely post your artwork more, as it is good. Don't take my compliments for granted though, as EVERYONE has room for improvement.
