That is using cheats. He means regular gameplay.

LOL thats my video. My Youtube user account name is Omegared37. I have that and a video of playing as Jade as well as playing as Noob in the Compilation video I made featuring all 3 secret characters.

And yes I am playing as those characters I just used a code to change their movesets to ones that have defined controls so they wont crash the game.( I used the arcade version and not Arcade Treasures). No one has yet developed a code to make those movesets usuable(possibly impossible). As you can see by my videos playing as characters you arent supposed to is a strange obsession of mine.

The updated should include that in umk3 you can do animalities without having to do mercy's , a blood enable and disabler for umk3 , some test for mk1 to view certain animations of the characters and props ( How I got baraka blade spin to show up in MK 2 ) , Khameleon pallete for umk3 ( Feels as a alternate Khameleon pallete since it looks darker ) , Rain name on lifebar test for umk3 , and Pit II Pit Fatality Invisible Sprite .

Also for MKT sprites , I made more cheats . For those who have the russian 3-1 MK game , here are codes to make the sprites invisible .

I can't figure out how to record or rip music. Do you have to do it manually with a microphone.

If you have MAME, you just start the game by saying record wave output log (I think that is the one). Then while in the game, use one of Ace's cheats to silence everything but the music you want.

There is a lot of places you can get it... I think the official site is Mame.net. When you have that, you just put Ace's cheat.dat in the same folder as the exe. Then you right-click on the game you want to play (you also have to get the rom of the game) to go to the preferences, where you can enable cheats. Roms go in the roms folder.

Arctic: There are a couple of programs that can rip sounds directly from mame roms that use DCS sound (along with a few others) They are bridgem1 and foxm1. Place them in the same dir as mame.exe and run them. They look similar to winamp etc with the "playlist" being full of the sounds from whichever rom you load. They give you an option to dump the sounds as wavs.

You can make a list yourself on the M1 , the mk1 M1 emulation don't feel perfect though as the speed tempo of some of the instruments are kinda slow , or it may be the version I am using . In the 800's digits ( Not hex ) I believe in MKII had them hidden sounds , such as Jax saying yea and Cage saying yea.. and Cage making kiss sound , I don't member hearing these in game .
MKII and MK3 and UMK3 should be good . MK3 just don't have a list yet , but it shouldn't take long , it should take like around 10 mins to get all Bkg stage musics in a list , if you know what to do .

I never realized how terrible the music was in the mk:t psx... the voice samples seem good.

I'm using the samples for a flash tutorial on umk3 that uses flv videos to demonstrate gameplay...

I heard a rumor that a group of hackers are making a new version of MKT but the sounds are perfect from the arcade. Hope this is true..

I don't know if this will work, but sometimes it is the emulator. An infinite time cheats I have for any MK, doesn't work on a certain emulator. Try a new emulator.

if it were only that simple for me... I know it's specifically hk2's problem, however I specifically need hk2 v9 for the input display it can create...

Is there another emu out there that you can display the users key presses on the screen like hk2aillera can? edit: Seems all newer versions of mame have the same problem with the infinite time code...

yesterday I had the credit screen as my background so the screen wouldn't pan while I played... I tried to do this again today and my characters are displayed at the top of the screen... anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong?
