Mortal Kombat and the colorfully costumed world of professional wrestling have had a long association, so it's little wonder a WWE star has paid homage to one of MK's enduring icons with his entrance attire for NXT Halloween Havoc. Watch an entrance made in Hell right here:
Third-generation wrestling Zilla Fatu made his way to the ring for a "Very Nice, Very Evil" match in the mask and colours of Mortal Kombat's Scorpion! The jacket and pants variant wasn't quite lifted from Hanzo Hasashi's personal wardrobe, but its ventilated hard yellow mask evoked the klassic practical attire of Mortal Kombat II, with the yellow gear imprinted with his iconic "Get over here!" battle cry on the back.
SCORPION 🦂 @ZillaFatu is NOT messing around tonight! https://t.co/tvoFEeNRea

It isn't the first time WWE and Mortal Kombat have crossed over this year. Current Money In The Bank winner Penta made the movie mask of Shao Kahn a striking part of his entrance at WrestleMania!
Triple H wore similar attire at an earlier WrestleMania, while Zelina Vega entered the Royal Rumble in the style of Sindel in 2020, and Ronda Rousey took inspiration from her Mortal Kombat 11 role for a special entrance at the 2019 Elimination Chamber event. Scorpion was also the choice for another NXT up-and-comer when Kayden Carter went full hellspawn ninja for Halloween!
