I was just browsing through some other MK sites and stuff (Total MK) and found a few of them stating that there will be the ten webiside series PLUS a feature length film.

I was certain they'd only announced just the ten webisodes. (which is practically a feature length in itself, depending on how long each video is)

Scroll down and Check out this interview with Matt Mullen who played Johnny Cage in the MK:Rebirth short film. (see Q5)

Total MK is usually pretty good with his information and everything, and in the interview he asks a question about the ten webisodes PLUS a feature length film.

Can anyone clear this up?

If it does well I would be surprised if there wasn't a feature length film. I think they're being optimistic and assuming it will do well.

It only makes sense. It's difficult enough to develop one live action property of a franchise, let alone two, and I'm sure WB had movie plans in mind when they bought MK. I think this is a test run for the future, and a way to get it off the ground to coincide with the game.

I'm sure WB and everyone involved has an eye on the future for a potential full length movie, but at this point, sites reporting a feature film release are basing that on assumptions and hyperbole. Unfortunately, a lot of sites are then reporting based on those baseless assumptions, compounding the problem.

Keep an eye on MKO and the news threads about the movie for more reliable info. You can continue conversations in those.
