I like both MK 1 and MKA. Everyone has their own opinion. I honestly can't make a choice between the two. MKA doesnt bug me like everyone else, but I guess its just cuz i love mk so much id on't care lol.

No, I love it. It's absolutely hilarious, and the fights are much better than those in the first film.

You know what man, I stopped doing this shit a couple of years ago. I don't have anything agaisnt you, and I assume more people want to either say they like or dislike the second movie, so I'm not going to turn this thread (or any other thread for that matter) into a flame war, one of the stupidest things a man can do (and obviously, it's what you're trying to do).
So if you want, go on, keep going into the threads where I post and instead of saying something worthwhile to the thread (say what you will: I still said my opinion about the movie and that's what the thread is about) instead of just trying to act like a smartass. I've wasted too much time with this post and I won't waste my time with you again.

I like both films the only problem with the second one is Kano wasn't in it and that they made Jax to cocky.

Actually the fight scenes in the second movie was upgraded from scum to....poo. They needed some realistic special effects anyone watched ong bak: muay thai warrior? well if u havent watch it, its an amazing martial arts movie with no strings at all just a 24 year old super athlete. anyway mk movies should take a page out of that movies book.

I'm not trying to start any thread war or anything, but comparing the people who support MKA to people who support Hitler is just dead wrong, and if you can't understand that, than I truely feel sorry for you.

Actually, MK1 movie had pretty decent martial arts show. Save for that it was rather purposefull, and less showlike. Ong bak screams with choreography, but the things are most of the time authenthic, much like in MK1 (like Cary H. Tagawa's three elbow block against Robin Shou in the final match).

Except the Sonya vs. kano fight, both of them we're just goofin' around.

There are some things that are much better in the second film then the first. The second had some of the best fight scenes, the bad part is that most were very short.

i prefere the first film for the comedy in it but the fight in the second one were better and i found that the story was better in the second one

I liked the 2ns one too as it tried to introduce most the characters! but i think when the new one is made they should use alt costumes for the Ninjas noe like ermac no longer looks like sub zero/ Scorpian and the same goes for reptile!
Maybe they should do like Final Fantasy did and make it all FMvV like!!

I can't believe what i'm reading here...MKA sucked ass...big time.
Not only where the fights slow, but way to short. The fights in MKC is how it should have been, long and fast. MK1 succeeded in that the most.

Although I did like the cyrax costume very much!!

The MKA fights, good? They were all cut WAY too short, Mileena vs. Sonya and Rayden vs the Reptiles were the best, and I wish I could say that Smoke vs. Liu was good, but there are a couple of dumb spots in there and it's just WAY too short to be good. It is a nice action sequence but like I said, tiny.
Look at MK's top battles, the always popular Reptile vs. Liu Kang, Scorpion vs Johnny Cage which was just badass, the final confrontation between Liu Kang and Shang Tsung (which not only had great action, but an actually dramatic climate aswell), and then the short little action scenes like Liu vs. That One Guy on the beach, Liu vs. Kitana (you know, fights that actually DEVELOP the story), Sonya vs. Kano...

I don't like the second one as much because the acting was VERY poor and the effects weren't great either.

MkA is one of those films that is so bad, it's good.

Well im not going to knock the second film but i think Cage totally made the first movie. Plus it seemed like the whole atmosphere was cooler. But that's just me.
