Solid acting, storytelling, developed characters and atmosphere, with well coreographed action sequences are alot more entertaining to me and pretty much 90% of the movie going audiences, than just fighting and cool music. I can't even begin to try and explain why thinking a movie is more entertaining because, there are only fights and music is ludicrous. It all should be pretty much self explanatory.

Don’t get me wrong though, the first movie is simply the best. I love it. The second movie sucked terribly, but it did had great things like the fights and excellent music.

Nah Queve in MKA the fights looked more like an extended nick nack paddy wack and they were so unrealistic. The music sounded too much like dance music. It sounded just like the music we dance to in my hip hop class. Mortal Kombat is not the kind of movie that should be playing nothing but trashy techno music that makes it look more like a music video.

I have seen your posts and I agree on many things you say about MKA, but I have to disagree here!

The techno music fits the best for MK! The fight scenes need to have that “hyper” “fast” music to make you “feel” the fight. I though the music was probably the best thing of that movie.

Although, it would be nice to see some epic music like the LOTR in the movie.

The movie sucks, yes, but like queve said, it is actually not boring to watch. Lots of fights, quick fights, but very well done. I could manage to see it 10 times in a row with out getting bored, but as much as I love the other film, its more talks.

The point is, MKA is a bad film that should burn in hell, but with some interesting stuff that can’t get you bored.

Like he said, the first movie is better. But the second film (as much as I hate it) can never get you bored.

Its fun to watch.

No MKA becomes boring for me too after a while. The fights are too short in MKA and the movies need more blood and deadly orchestra music like in the games.

MK:A was a great movie if you were drunk while watching. However, there were some one-liners that might be considered funny, to a 10 year old.

The music was excellent IMO. And actually, there were very good long fights like:

Sonya/Jax VS Cyrax/Ninjas.

Liu Kang/Kitana VS Smoke/Ninjas.

And some short fights were pretty good, like:

Jade VS Liu Kang.

Sonya VS Mileena.

Even though this movie was sub-par, its still fun to watch. Watch any ninja movie from the 80's, they're all stupid but fun to watch. This series should've been given the 'R' treatment, I want to see some sub-zero spine-ripping.
