The one being is not Onaga.

No one said the One Being was Onaga.

I said based on the description, the villain SOUNDS like Onaga. Because the story outlined there is roughly the same as Deception. (While also qualifying that while it SOUNDS like Onaga, I don't necessarily believe it WILL be Onaga. It could be a deliberate Red Herring)

The exact words:

"Another has spent years acquiring each blade through cunning and guile. For not only can the Kamidogu daggers contain a god, they also have the power to create one..."

The One Being is the power contained within the daggers

"Another" is searching for the daggers using cunning and guile... to USE said power, to make HIMSELF (or herself) a god (ie. create a god)

This "another" the synopsis mentioned, has the exact same plan/motive Onaga/Damashi did in MKD. Which is why I said it SOUNDS like Onaga. And it does.

Though it could just as easily be any other Villain.

Keep up.

PS. This does however... make it feel less likely that Shinnok is a candidate, because technically Shouldn't Shinnok already have the "Power of a God"? It feels like they're retconning and nerfing the power levels of the One Being a bit with this game.

It'll probably just be friggin' Quan Chi. Feels like that's been NRS plan for the last 10 years. Quan Chi is always pulling the strings behind everything.

This is different then the tpb solit but really the first 4 print issues were already solicitated in DC solits. Also some here said the first 12? You mean first 12 digital right? That would be first 4 print cause 12 print would be 36 digital lol

The book will contain the first 4 chapters, "Blood Ties", which involved 3 issues each.
Ch.1 #1 to Ch.4 #12 will be included.

Ch.10 should be uploaded digitally tonight/tomorrow. The final inclusion into this book should come out in print the Wednesday after next (or that Sunday, digitally.)

Tl;dr - This book compiles the 4 chapters issues (12 issues chapters) of "Blood Ties".

I think they mean Kotal Kahn. Didn't he become a blood god because of the Kamidogu?

He had sun powers before he used the Kamidogu.

Just like JillBob316 said: KEEP UP! This is just the hardback/graphic novel/compiled book that contains all issues of the comic leading up and into the actual game. We have known about this shit since each Edition if the game was announced last month and this is the book that comes shipped with the Import Kollectors Edition (that sold out fast as fock). I wanted this version, but settled with the Course Kollectors Edition and even though I have bought every issue of the comic including both covers of issue one (one w/Subby, the other Hanzo Boon) as well as the black and white Variant, I will still buy the trade paperbak /hardback when it becomes available. Hell, Ive bought every digital issue too because lack of patience! Finally, now that I'm done nerd bragging on a msg board, the description tells a little more about wtf is going on in this timeline. Alot of it some of us accurately guessed at, but anyhow thanks to the OP for sharing and ill close with this: THE GODDAMN BLOOD CODE=ABACABB....take that Kotal, Raiden, and all you dagger wielding, Komidogu fiends!

Yeah I know, I said Blood god.

He was not a god at first but If I remember correctly Kotal Kahn cuts himself and says "Make me a blood god"

Just speculating, I might be wayyy off. But I think he was never a god in his origins.

He was treated as a god but after he used the power of the Kamidogu he became a blood god.

No reason why Liu Kang can't do the same, I think.

I'm not sure.
Generally, the print comic comes out the Wednesday in the same week as its final digital release. Maybe they switched it up this time around.

And, it's not #4; it's chapter 4 (#s 10-12.) The number refers to the issue (which seems to keep confusing people.)

The digital comics are being called chapters, not the physical issues. You have it the wrong way around.

Darn. I tried.

Regardless, the goddamn book is just all of "Blood Ties". The end.
Thanks, by the way, for the correction.

Even with the chapter/issue confusion, it is not a difficult concept to grasp surely?

Just requires a little common sense.

ya i can't fathom how people can't figure this out

A book consists of 4 issues

1 issue consists of 3 chapters

1 chapter is what is released digitally weekly

Just the way they're doing it can cause some confusion. I'm not confused personally but people saying the opposite every thread can make me think i'm wrong myself and it's just a mess lol.

So if someone stabs a possessed being with the Kamidogu, his/her possession goes away and he/she dies? Also, as they are dying, can the non-possessed being be saved like per say Raiden's electric healing powers so he/she doesn't die?

I think Kano was just joking, He said "That curse can be broken... You just have to kill the possessed"

I thought it was actually pretty funny.

So to answer your first question, Unless it's a fatal stab they would die, Subby got cut and stabbed with the Kamidogu and he is still alive.

I don't fully understand your second question but I know one thing for sure, Nobody can really explain how Raiden's healing powers work.

He didn't use it to help Liu Kang... He didn't use it to help Kitana either.

But I think Raiden's powers(If he decides to use them, that is) Will be able to heal someone's wounds and bring them back from near death.

Fujin had a giant hole in his body and he healed that shit.

I was just asking if Liu Kang was to go God Mode with a Kamidogu and actually be stopped by someone carrying another Kamidogu by being stabbed with it, would there be a chance he could be saved.

Oh Sorry I misunderstood.

I think there is but we still don't know for sure, We don't fully know what the Kamidogus are all about. All we know is that the Kamidogus clearly have unique powers, Each one does something different.

The Kamidogu that is with Raiden, which is the orderrealm Kamidogu helped Raiden see the future.

The Kamidogu that is with Scorpion, which we still don't know where it belongs, we only know that it has ties to Quan Chi. It gave Fox the ability to regenerate his skin. so we can call it wolverine Kamidogu.

The Kamidogu that is with Kotal Kahn, which we also don't know where it belongs, made Kotal Kahn a blood god.

And there is a fourth Kamidogu, the one that Subby now has. We know nothing about.

So it's entirely possible that a Kamidogu could make Liu Kang a god of sorts and kill him as well.

But we will have to wait and see, what I said to you is all just speculation on my part :).
