they probably filmed it to be a seasion finaly, not a series finaly. but seeing as it was droped faster then a hot coal... they didn't have much of a choice. the desision was probably made after filming.

Episode 19: "Flawed Victory"
Shao Kahn contacts the services of Quan Chi and his army of undead female assassins to go after Shang Tsung. I am not so sure if Kahn wanted shang dead or captured. But Quan Chi's women failed the mission. Quan Chi comes up with a back-up plan to use shang's most hated enemy, Kunglao, as a source to lead them to Shang Tsung. shang tries to make a foolish attempt on The emperor in Quan Chi's body. The idea was to have Quan Chi labeled as a traitor to Kahn so that the sorcerer would not be in the posittion of power next to him. Quan Chi and Shang Tsung meet in Kunglao's home and both fight intensily. the fight ends with both sorcerers exhausted. Before shang leaves he tells Quan Chi that Kahn believes him to be a traitor and how he did so. Knowing that Kahn seeks his death quan Chi was forced to allign with Queen Kreeya through Vorpax.

The next episode is the very Last episode where Kahn had everyone eliminated in the series finale.

The ending sucked really bad.

Shao sending his priests to finish everone one off, if Shao was such a smart MF he would have done that in the beginning.

Shao Kahn removed a piece of the earth to out world with rayden on it, losing his power Kahn sieged controle and captured and tortured Rayden.

Everybody was killed and they couldn't even protect themselves because the priests were so powerfull, and that had all heppend in one last episode. trully a weak ending to a great show with lots of potential.

true, but it was WRITTEN to be a SEASON finale, NOT a SERIES finale. The show got cancelled AFTER the finale was filmed, and when it was filmed, it was expected to be renued; sadly it wasn't. Since it already aired, they didn't have the time to chang the story, obviously.

You're totally right. Remember though, that this was the reason he was banished from being a fighter in the official tournament and only a watcher, kinda like Shang Tsung was in the first movie. He was able to compete in Mortal Kombat 2 game tournament because it was a tournament he and Shang Tsung set up, not an official Elder God set up tournament. It says what MKR and I said in the mortalkombat.com timeline.

the OFFICIAL timeline at the OFFICIAL site states that MKC connects with the movies. It explains that the elder gods undid all of Kahn's doings and ressurected everyone. So, even if the show didn't get a second season explaining it, it still happened.

Like I give a shit. MK.com is the OFFICIAL site. It states that the movies and conquest do tie in together. Even IF MKC contradicts the movies or vice versa, so what? Many things were supposed to have happened in the games aswell, but later games changed the story. So mk.com changed the story too.
