Unfortunately HBO Max does not offer a free trial, so officially you'll ever have to shell out the $15 to watch on HBO Max -or- go to a theater and shell out the $20-40 for one person ($20 includes a single IMax ticket price whereas some theaters charge almost that much for a RealD 3D version; $40 is estimated concessions; prices are adjusted for cities in America).

Ignoring the whole COVID pandemic as a factor, if you plan to watch this film with more than one person and have a very good TV set, the HBO max option will likely do. However, a lot of people don't go to the theaters (and when I do go I'm usually the only one in the theater) not to mention some theater chains, like Regal Cinemas, aren't even open yet )possibly projected to open in May) while other chains like AMC are in many places.

For the record, where I live here in the United States, close to me, I have a couple indie cinemas and one major chain, Regal Cinemas. From what I can tell, all the indie cinemas are open, but our Regal Cinemas, which happens to be inside a mall, is not yet open. However, I am close to 2 hours away from an open Imax at an AMC (in a shopping center) and the local indie cinemas do offer RealD 3D as an option. While I am personally considering BOTH Imax and RealD 3D for this film, in addition to HBO Max, I remain undecided how I will watch this film and won't know until closer.

Good advice! I'm gonna see how things are in my area by next month. I'm hoping that things will stabilize and the vaccine for COVID will become more available. Also hoping for a good empty theater to enjoy the movie in regardless. In FL people are acting like there is no such thing as COVID which makes me nervous.

I used to live in Florida, in Titusville but traveled alot to Orlando. When I went to indie theaters there there were times no one was in with me or very few people were in. Try for a first showing, like at 11am or 1pm whenever they do them, and go to an indie theater if possible. Florida has a lot of stupid people and I'm glad I left it when I did - 7 years ago lol.
